Full description

Visit the ancient standing stones of Stonehenge and picturesque Bath on this day trip from London. Enjoy transportation by air-conditioned coach and a multi-lingual audio guide to the prehistoric monument.

The most famous prehistoric monument in the world, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Stonehenge stands alone on the vastness of the Salisbury Plain. Its origins date back nearly 5,000 years and its purpose has continued to be a subject of public debate. Questions such as what this vast collection of stones was intended for and whether it was an observatory of the moon, a temple to the sun, or an elaborate cemetery have arisen over the decades. On this full-day tour by air-conditioned coach, you’ll have a chance to explore the site and do your best to unlock the secrets as you marvel at this remarkable and mysterious feat of ancient engineering and design. Next, you’ll head to Bath, arriving in time for lunch (not included in the tour price). With fabulous restaurants, teahouses, sandwich and coffee shops, and classic British pubs, you’ll have plenty of choices for a place to eat! Bath is a beautiful Georgian city with delightful crescents and terraces and stunning architecture. Following a scenic drive into the heart of the city, there will be plenty of time to explore the city at your leisure. Visit the Roman Baths that were built nearly 2,000 years ago. The magnificent Roman public bath complex and Roman temple were constructed over Britain's only natural hot water spring.

At this World Heritage Site, you can walk around the steaming pool on the Roman paving stones and admire the ancient Roman statues and architecture. See Bath Abbey and the much-photographed Pulteney Bridge, modeled on the famous Ponte Vecchio Bridge in Florence. In addition, you might like to see the Jane Austen Centre, and the elegant Assembly Rooms built in 1771. Shop, explore, and take afternoon tea in the Pump Rooms while listening to live classical music.

Great experience Leon and Abdi our driver, took good care of us. Leon was very entertaining and knowledgeable. You could tell it wasn't just a script but that he really enjoyed telling us the history and he threw in a few comical stories. It was a pleasant trip going and coming! Thanks Leon and Abdi for a great day!

Fantastic tour! Our tour guide Zozo was by far one of the best guides we have had. You can really tell that he loves guiding and is extremely knowledgeable, he not only discussed the history of both Stonehenge and Bath whilst on the bus, he also pointed out other landmarks and explained much about the important history and people of London/England. Although he was not walking around with us at Stonehenge or the Roman Baths, Zozo had given us all the necessary information to fully appreciate the monuments on our own. He also offered to take us on a walking tour around Bath (this is not specifically included on this tour - I believe it is usually structured to be “free time”) which was fantastic. Also a special mention to Alfred our coach driver who was so friendly and professional. He and Zozo had such a fun and fantastic working relationship, it really radiated positive energy throughout the bus! Bravo Zozo and Alfred! You both made our tour awesome.

It was a good chance to see rural England. Scenic views and picturesque villages along the way. Stonehenge was a revelation! Amazing site worth visiting. The city of Bath is a nice Georgian city with interesting architecture and busy streets. The "Roman Baths" is OK. Nothing really special. The trip to Bath was very eell organised and the guide was very knowledgeable. Some of the information was about things that were miles away and could have been avoided, but on the other hand there are people who are interested in learning about things they see only with binoculars! The coach was comfortable and clean and the driver was very professional. I recommend this company for their professionalism.
