Full description
Firstly, your local London guide takes you to the exciting Borough Market to soak up the atmosphere and eat some English fudges/chocolate. This eating paradise was not even on the tourist foodie radar a few years ago. Still around the market, you will try award winning Cumberland sausages, followed by the best fresh fish and chips in town. Note the difference between "chips" and "French fries!" There is so much to see in the market that your guide will give you 10-20 minutes to look around yourselves, giving you a chance to buy gifts or eat any samples. Your personal guide will explain the history of the market and the surrounding areas including Sir Francis Drake’s Golden Hind, the Shard and Southwark Cathedral. Your tour will continue to a historic pub where you can try the best of British cheeses, served with grapes, fig cakes and chutneys, washed down with real London beers, ales or delicious ciders (or non-alcoholic options). You will also see the world-famous London Bridge and Tower Bridge on the River Thames as well as the Battleship HMS Belfast. Finally, the tour ends with classic desserts, such as cheesecakes, chocolate brownies or sticky toffee puddings, all washed down with a pot of refreshing tea. Oh, and of course there’s a delicious secret dish too!

This tour was awesome! The size of the group was small, the guide was fantastic and the food was amazing! My only regret is that we took this tour on the last day of our London trip. I would have rather done this tour earlier so we could have gone back to try some of the food again.

One of the best "sightseeing" experiences I have had

3 hours flew by - slowly strolling through the narrow streets, stopping for delicious treats while getting the history told to us by a very knowledgeable guide was a wonderful experience. Jason - was a perfect guide, funny, informatiove and he told the stories so vividly. This is a tour that should suit most people, I would recomend to bring a bottle of water or something else to drink. I will definetly seek to find this tour in other cities I visit, and I might even do this one again next time I'm in London.

    Exceptional!

Our Guide was Ed. Can not fault him for anything. Has a great passion & knowledge for the food industry. The tour was the best we had encountered on our 5 week trip throughout Europe! Even his 'Building Speech' at the end was fun. And he doesn't disappoint with the food! 10/10 would go again.
