What to Expect
London's Thames River has inspired centuries worth of painters and poets, such as William Wordsworth, William Shakespeare, and many others. All were fascinated with the Thames and gave it another life in their works. This tour invites you to learn more about England’s longest and most famous river and to get inspired by its history and beauty yourself. Your knowledgeable guide will take you along the South Bank, crusing by the wonderful Tower Bridge and the Houses of Parliament. Along the way, you will learn how the river and the city shaped each other.

London’s history is closely connected to the history of the Thames and vice versa. Many important governement buildings and royal palaces are located close to the river, and old warehouses and wharfs point to its former economic importance. It remains the economic and cultural lifeblood of the city to this very day.

After a leisurely walking tour, you end at the London Eye, one of London’s newest attractions. It is one of the world’s tallest Ferris wheels. While the tickets are not included in your tour fee, you should definitely go on the Ferris wheel to see London and its magnificent river from above.
