Full description
Embark on a day tour to South Downs National Park from London and admire the beauty of England's stunning southern coast and sprawling green hills. Visit notable landmarks including the Devil's Dyke, Seven Sisters Country Park, and Beachy Head on a guided tour.  In the morning, meet your guide at London Bridge station and catch the train to Brighton, using your pre-booked return train tickets. Upon arrival in Brighton, climb aboard the luxury minibus for your adventure for the day. Arrive in the South Downs National Park and first visit Devil's Dyke to admire the views across the lowland weald. Learn from your guide about how the landscape was formed over thousands of years, as well as how Devil's Dyke got its name. Make your way to Middle Farm, where you can buy cheeses, sparkling wines, or cider from Sussex. Middle Farm will be the lunch stop where the quaint tea rooms serve light lunches, snacks, coffee, and tea. Continue along quiet country lanes to the Seven Sisters Country Park. Make a short stop to visit the Neolithic carving known as the Longman of Wilmington. Next, enjoy a guided walk along Beachy Head and take stunning photos of the white chalk cliffs. Travel to Birling Gap and see the results of accelerated coastal erosion. Arrive at Seaford Head to enjoy the iconic view of the Seven Sisters, one of the most famous viewpoints along England's southern coast. Your guide will then take you on a leisurely walk around the headland to get the best views of the cliffs. Finally, hop back on the bus and be returned to Brighton where you will catch the train back to Central London.

Great day, with excellent guide Kevin! From London it takes about an hour by train (accompanied by a guide) and we are met there by the second guide in the minibus. Kevin made the trip an experience and we learned a lot about the area. The tour is really great as you get to see some of the South downs (including Devils dyke, the Long man, the Seven Sisters from two viewpoints (including walking along the beach once; that was really great!) and Beachy Head. A great trip to get to know the area. There was virtually no time pressure (except for the darkness at the moment). Thanks for a great day Kevin!

We had a wonderful experience on the tour! We started in London & it would’ve been very helpful if the tour info said that the meeting place is at the London Bridge overground station and not the underground station next to it. We met Tom, who came with us on the Thameslink train to Brighton. Our tour guide Adam was friendly flexible knowledgeable & helpful. Our stop at Devil’s Dyke was fabulous. We enjoyed the scenery and watching paragliders. An accident closed the usual route after but Adam’s plan B was crucial since the road was still closed for our return at night. We stopped at an alternate location for lunch and went to South Downs to view the Seven Sisters which is beautiful. Then went to the cliffs at Birling Gap for a close up view and a walk on the beach by the cliffs. Finally we went to Beachyhead where we saw the lighthouses and another great view. Lots of photo ops. It wasn’t hiking for those looking for a real hike, but we got in 14,000 steps and had a fabulous day!

Lovely tour, a good number of stops for open nature views and opportunities for photos. Enough to make it worth it, not too many to get you too tired. Our guide knew a lot about everything and was relaxed and flexible. I liked that we listened to some music from a local composer as well as the fun facts along the way. I only wish I had more layers on.
