What People Are Saying About Loch Lomond
So happy we picked Ranbies tours, Ewon our guide kept us busy with lots of story's. We had a really beautiful day no rain or fog, so the view was incredible. The castle was interesting lots of Scottlands history, such brave warriors, a little carzy back then. We learned a wee bit of the language as well. Lovely tour.
Fabulous trip from start to finish. Out tour guide Robbie was very knowledgeable on history and gave us running commentary with Scottish music in between.. The loch was beautiful and the scenery throughout the Trussocks was outstanding. We were given 2 hours at Stirling castle which was plenty of time to visit various buildings within the castle walls. The lunch stop at the Scottish wool centre was enjoyable.
The experience was more than I expected. I was alone on that trip but did not feel that way. Jonathan was funny, knowledgable and the love for his job and country was felt and heard. It was great seeing places I read about and saw on the TV. I would recommend the tour and my guide to anyone visiting Scotland. Scotland is a BEAUTIFUL country !!!!
The morning consisted of a ride to Stirling Castle where we could walk around freely or join a guided tour. After Stirling Castle we visited a town where we were also free to have some lunch or walk around. In the afternoon we drove to Loch Lochmond were we had a nice long walk through the hills with great views on the loch. While driving from one place to another, tour guide Paul had interesting stories about the background of sights we were seeing from the car. The sights from the car were beautiful as we drove through the line between the lowlands and the highlands, even into the mountains. We stopped a few times to take pictures and just look at the landscape. The alternation of driving and pauses were well balanced. I would definitely recommend this tour for anyone visiting this part of Scotland. If this organisation was situated in more countries, I would always choose this one for my tours.
Nice travel through history and lands of Scotland. Our guid ( Barney) was very interesting and instructive, made us discover and learn a lot on those marvelous landscapes, beautiful castles and fascinating lochs!
