Stop at Llyn Ogwen and learn the history of a fascinating find on the shores of the lakes from the 5th century. Soak up the 360° panoramic and spectacular view of Snowdonia Viewpoint. Possibly the finest view in Wales. Here, your guide will share with you some local history, Welsh myths, and legends along the way, including a drive down the famous Pen Y Pass. Breath-taking Llanberis and Padarn Park National Slate Museum is tlhe unch stop and is set within some of the most spectacular scenery in North Wales . Slate industry was one of the main economic motors of Wales. Step back in time and immerse yourself in a variety of talks and demonstrations to give you a real insight into the hardships of past quarry life. Admire the spectacular setting of Dolbadarn Castle ruins through the forest to the gateway of Snowdonia to learn about its fascinating past. Finally, visit Caernarfon Village and Castle. Take a walk around this UNESCO World Heritage Site, before heading back to the starting point.

Leave the Roman city of Chester and travel to Wales on a 90-minute, fully-narrated journey arriving at Llandudno. Visit the 12th-century hidden chapel of St. Tudno on the Great Orme. Next is the walled town of Conwy, constructed in 1283 with a fabulous 3/4-mile wall circuit. Caernarfon Castle is another UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most impressive medieval castles in Wales. It’s famous for its polygonal towers and massive walls, and it served as the setting for the investiture of Prince Charles as Prince of Wales in 1969. Explore the castle’s interior and ramparts for stunning views of the town and the surrounding area. Next, your tour takes you to one of the most famous places in Wales – Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch. The town’s full name holds the Guinness World Record for the longest place name in Europe, and it’s a must-see on any Welsh itinerary! Arriving in Llanfairpwll, you’ll have time to take a photo with the town’s long, tongue-twisting name. There’s a dedicated sign for visitors to pose with, and you can also visit the local shop that sells quirky souvenirs and postcards bearing the full name. Learn about the town’s origins and how its name was created as a publicity stunt in the 19th century. From here, it is a short hop back to the port and on to your ship where you can discuss all that you have seen today with those passengers who opted for a more standard tour!

We start out tour after a briefing, and meander through llandudno and its promenade before taking the dive of the orme. A magical drive around Great Orme's one-way road with its spectacular mountain drop off into the sea. This is the longest coastal one way road in the UK. Keep an eye out for rock climbers on the limestone cliffs, fishermen casting off the rocks, an abundance of wildlife, birds, wild goats, and often dolphins and seals, as well as views towards the Snowdonia mountains and Anglesey. We pass through the ancient village of Conwy where you will get the see one of the most beautiful castle settings in Europe. Next, you'll head on to Penrhyn Quarry for a chance to see how our mining history has moved with the times and merged with the adrenaline adventure industry of today's generations. Once the world's largest slate quarry to now the world's fastest zip line! We enter the Snowdonia national park, and the glacial valley of Nant FFrancon. The mountains and lakes here start to envelope us, and the scenery takes a dramatic change. Another majestic stop with breathtaking scenery, however next to the lake of Ogwen we learn about a historic find at the lake which is linked to the legend of King Arthur and Excalibur. No visit to Snowdonia would feel complete unless you ventured down into one of its many thousands of mines from all the ages. Here we visit a self guided tour of an old copper mine and its history and workings are revealed. Wonder the quaint mountain village of Beddgelert where you will learn the legend of Gelert the faithful hound and how the village has it historic name. And take a walk to the historic monument where Gelert was laid to rest. Stop at Snowdonia viewpoint. Know as one of the UK's most spectacular views, this 360 panoramic view of snowdonia's horseshoe, gwynant valley and lakes, and the glyder's make it a photographers dream. Another of snowdonias spectacle. Pen y pass is one of Wales most beautiful drives. A V-shaped valley, dramatic scenery on the drive on route to Llanberis. A few minutes walk through woodland are worth the views alone. Dolbadarn Castle, built by the Welsh Prince Llywelyn the Great during the early 13th century is at the base of the Llanberis Pass and overlooks Padarn Lake. The castle was important to both militarily and as a symbol of Llywelyn's power and authority. A quick photo opportunity, looking up the beautiful lake of Padarn towards Mount Snowdon. Built in 1820, the worlds first large scale suspension bridge. Drive over this iconic bridge and a stroll under its arches and surroundings.
