What You'll Do
  • Enjoy superior wine tasting, including special orange wine
  • Eat a traditional dinner
  • Have fun with live music and dancing
  • Learn to dance the traditional Polka dance
Autumn is the time of year when grapes ripen and wine is made, and Slovenia is home to some wonderful wine regions. There is nothing better than tasting superior wines as a precursor to both dinner and dancing. Truly an evening to remember!
What to Expect
Meet in the center of Ljubljana and head for a specialized wine bar and shop - a place where the wine, and the people who drink it, feel at ease. The select furnishings of the wine bar contribute to the outstanding atmosphere for wine tasting, and it is not surprising that this venue has quickly become a popular spot for Ljubljana's demanding clientele. Enjoy tastings of select wines, with an opportunity to try a special orange wine along with the more traditional red or white. After the tasting you will have the chance to buy some of the best wines from different regions of Slovenia.

In the evening the fun will start! Arrive at a lively restaurant in central Ljubljana and be greeted by a folk-dance group in traditional costume before being served an aperitif – a schnapps named "šklojce" with dried fruit. Sit back and enjoy live folk music and dancing, all while savoring the taste of a traditional three course dinner accompanied by a glass of local wine. After the first course, be entertained by local dancing as you move to a main course accompanied with salad.

The opportunity to hop onto the dance floor then awaits as you learn the traditional Polka dance, while you will combine your dessert with fun games such as the "povštertanc" (cushion dance). Receive a special gift as you depart full of joyous memories.
