Admire the stalagmites inside Postojna Cave! Meet your guide in central Ljubljana and settle into your ride as you set out for two of Slovenia’s most enchanting wonders, Predjama Castle and the Postojna Caves. First, go with your guide to the Postojna Caves and uncovers the fascinating world of an unusual amphibian known as the blind salamanders or referred to locally as “human fish”. Explore this enthralling underground world, while your guide explains the geologic forces that created them. Next, head to the Predjama Castle, a storybook castle wedged beneath a dramatic stone archway and against a cliff. Admire the unique Renaissance architecture of the castle located in south-central Slovenia, in the historical region of Inner Carniola. From the castle, enjoy views of lush, rural Slovenia. After that, sit back and relax on your ride back to Ljubljana.

Lake Bled is often mentioned as the pearl of the Slovenian Alpine region due to its emerald-green waters, picture-perfect postcard church on the island, medieval castle on the rocky cliff, and some of the highest peaks of the Slovenian Alps as the background. Take a short walk along the lakeshore as the beauty of the surrounding mountains reflects off the lake surface. No matter the season, you'll enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the lake and the fresh mountain air.  Perched atop a steep cliff more than 100 meters above the lake, Bled Castle is the iconic image of a medieval fortress, with towers, ramparts, moats and a terrace offering magnificent views. The castle houses a unique treasure - a reconstruction of Gutenberg's wooden printing press, on which the master printer will demonstrate old printing techniques using hand-made paper. Take the Pletna boat, a traditional boat known only to this region, to the tiny tear-shaped island on the lake. Upon returning from the island, stop at the local patisserie and taste Bled’s famous cream cake, kremšnita. In the last 60 years they have sold as many as 12 million of these cakes - they are definitely a can't-miss and a perfect way to top off your day. In the summer you can take bathing suits with you, to take a dip in the lake. Please be advised that due to the the winter season and the shorter daylight hours, a portion of our tour may be conducted after dark. Additionally, participants should be aware that the Pletna boat ride might not be available during our afternoon tours because of their winter schedule. Depart Zagreb in the morning and head to the capital city of Slovenia to take a guided tour of the old city center of Ljubljana. See some of the finest works by the architect Jože Plečnik. Marvel at the Baroque and Art Nouveau buildings, before experiencing the local vibe and discovering where the residents buy their food. Hear why Napoleon was one of the city's most popular politicians, why Slovenia lives with love in its name, and how the iconic Triple Bridge got its name. Have free time to explore the hidden spots on your own. Continue to the Alpine resort of Bled, take in the spectacular views from panoramic drive around the lake and then board on a traditional boat (Pletna) to reach the only true island in Slovenia. Ring the fortune bell and soak up the sun and fresh mountain air before going to the old castle perched on top of a steep cliff above the lake. The Bled castle is the oldest castle in Slovenia and it also offers the oldest traditional cake in the region. The Bled Cream cake, which goes perfect with the view from the the top of the castle terrace. Afterwards in the evening we will depart back to Zagreb. After a long day of traveling you will be dropped off at your initial location.

Meet your guide at the Dragon Bridge in Ljubljana in the morning. From there, depart for Savica Waterfall, located in National Park Triglav. Upon reaching the park, step out of the vehicle to take a medium-level hike to the waterfall. Walk through the forest, up slightly steep paths to be rewarded with a view of the unique waterfall. Afterward, head to Lake Bohinj. Enjoy a leisurely visit to the lake, admiring the surrounding mountains and touching the crisp water. From Lake Bohinj, have the option to stop for lunch (at your own expense) at a restaurant recommended by your guide. Have the chance to try jota stew, porridge, Bohinj sausage, dry Bohinj meat, cheese, and strudl. After lunch make your way to Lake Bled, where you can take a hike to Mala Ojstrica hill, walk around the lake, visit Lake Bled Castle, or paddle to the island in the middle of the lake (additional activity fees are at your own expense). Enjoy the picturesque scene that surrounds the famous lake before making the drive back to Ljubljana.

The calm and inviting waters of its lake spurred the tradition of making the typical ‘pletna’ boats back in the 12th century.  Optionally you can board one of these wooden beauties to reach the island, with its romantic church and mysterious wishing bell. Sightseeing in Bled continues with a visit to the impressive castle, perched on a cliff high above the lake. Step back time in its museum and enjoy the unforgettable view of the surroundings. Surrounded by alluring summits, the Bohinj Valley charms visitors with its inspiring scenery, crystal lake waters, and the harmonious coexistence of man and nature. The picturesque lakeside boasts the frescoes of the Church of St. John the Baptist. Get familiar with the itinerary for the day, as well as information about the sites you are visiting and the general history of Croatia and Slovenia. Arrive at Ljubljana. On your arrival, your guide will take you on a orientational walking tour around the city center. Besides seeing many historical buildings and monuments you will climb up with funicular to the 13th-century medieval fortress, a symbol of the Slovenian capital Ljubljana. There, you can see spectacular views of the town and Alp mountains in the distance. Gain a deeper understanding of the city's landmarks and more confidence to navigate on your own for the next 2 hours of your free time. Continue to the Alpine resort of Bled. There is so much to do at Bled, especially during the tourist season (April to October). It is impossible to see and experience everything in one afternoon, this is why your guide will help you organise time according to your preferences. Go for a swim at the lake, ride a bicycle, sail on traditional Pletna boat to the Bled Island, explore the Bled castle or just simply go for a stroll, sit at one of many bars located by the lake and enjoy traditional Bled cream cake, be hypnotized by the views of Lake Bled, surrounded by stoic mountains. Make yourself comfortable and enjoy a scenic ride back to Zagreb.

You cannot go wrong if you choose this guided walk around the historical city center combined with a visit to Ljubljana Castle. It includes all of Ljubljana's major sights and offers an insight into numerous interesting stories about life in Ljubljana from the past and present. The tour begins in front of the Town Hall, a building with a rich history now used as the seat of the City Municipality of Ljubljana. From the Town Hall and the Robba Fountain in front of it you will go on a walk around the historical city center during which you will learn about the history of all the city's major sights. The walk will take you across the Cobblers' Bridge and past the National and University Library and the Križanke Summer Theater to the Kongresni trg Square from where you will continue to Prešernov trg Square dominated by the Franciscan Church and connected to the Triple Bridge. Then, head further on to Plečnik's Market and the cathedral. Just a short walk from there is the bottom station of Ljubljana's funicular railway, which wil whisk you up 70 vertical meters in just a minute and bring you to Ljubljana Castle, the city's most prominent sight. The castle's outlook tower offers the most beautiful views of the city, while its interior houses several museum displays and other exhibitions including, among others, 'Slovenian History,' 'The Prison' and 'Virtual Castle.'

After meeting your guide, set out on your adventure as the road slowly takes you to the top of Vršič Pass at an altitude of 1661 meters. Take advantage of a photo stop before descending into the valley, where one of the most beautiful rivers awaits. Spot the silver peaks of the Julian Alps, which are inseparably connected with the history of world war I. The Isonzo front took place here, a mountain combat in high altitudes and impossible living conditions. You can still see the tracks of the battle everywhere. A visit to the biggest waterfall in Slovenia follows. Waterfall Boka is 106-meters high and 18-meters wide. Afterward, continue towards Ljubljana and stop in Kranjska Gora – the biggest alpine resort in Slovenia. Kranjska Gora is also the home of Slovenia's biggest alpine skiing race, the Vitranc cup.
