Full description
On this full-day tour you’ll discover Sintra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Admire the villa that’s surrounded by an amazing natural park, a castle, beautiful palaces and chalets. Take a walk along the medieval streets of Sintra an drive through the national park and see the rare fauna, the unique trees, the Moorish castle, Monserrate Palace and the chalets. Visit Pena Palace, one of the most impressive expressions of 19th-century Romanticism in architecture in the world and one of Portugal’s seven wonders. Say goodbye to Sintra with an optional visit to mystical Quinta da Regaleira, a palace surrounded by luxuriant gardens, lakes, caves and enigmatic constructions that hide obscure alchemist meanings, evoked by Freesmasons, Knights Templar and Rosicrucians. Jose was an excellent tour guide; the information and history he shared about the various sites was detailed, easy to understand and interesting. I felt that he took care of our safety needs very well and I really enjoyed the tour overall. There was plenty of time to enjoy the sites through free time but we wished to had a bit longer in Cascais because that place was really nice. I recommend this tour :)

Wonderful trip For three reasons. Wonderfully we visited the castle with the 90 ft deep Freemason circular well and mystery tunnels. Quinta, castle. This is spectacular and large groups cannot go there. The grounds are a masterpiece of fanciful imagination in stone work with architectural treasures and botanic delights. We also visited colorful pina castle but did not waste time on the more standard royal castle, which I had seen before anyway. The small group was very friendly and with only 8 passengers our guide could pay very thorough attention to each, and we did not get lost or out of touch in a large group. A wonderful day full of adventure and surprise, and the comforting attention of a private tour. Because the group was so small I was able to talk with every person and feel a part of everyone.

Excellent trip, It was our last day in Portugal and what a great end for a perfect holiday. Diego our guide/driver was very informative and showered us with loads of information about the places we visited, great sense of humor, right on time, gave us great recommendations about where to go in Cascais. This guided small group tour is definitely recommended.
