What People Are Saying About Lisbon
This tour through the Alfama started with the challenge to find the meeting point - it`s only a garage door. But what we found inside was much more that we expected to find there. Our tour guide Hugo Portugal is a funny guy with perfect English knowledge. He gave us a lot of time to get familiar with the Segway`s. As long as we are not familiar going uphill and downhill the tour did`t start. This training time wasn't part of our 2,5h tour!! The tour itself was not easy at the beginning (up- and downhill, worst street conditions) but after some minutes we nearly grew together with these two wheeler and it makes more and more fun. After 30min we could really enjoy this tour and we won`t get off. Hugo Portugal explained us the history from the passed highlights and also gave us the necessary time to make photos. We can absolutly recommend this tour and also Hugo Portugal. We enjoyed it soooo much - it was the main topic for the rest of our holidays! Thank you very much !!! :-)
We had a very interesting day with Paulo who is a wealth of information. Nothing was too much and he was happy to discuss any and all subjects relating to Portugal past and present. We packed a lot into the day but did not feel rushed. We visited places off the beaten track that we would otherwise not know about which added to the experience. Paulo gave us tips about reaching other places we planned to visit and followed up with information by email after our tour. This was such a rewarding tour I would certainly recommend it to anyone visiting Lisbon.
This was the best of both worlds. My husband and I had a wonderful private walking tour with a fantastically informed guide. We learned about Lisbon's history, including political, religious and social. The port tasting was in a cozy, elegant restaurant and we also sampled olive oils, cheeses, and ham. Absolutely amazing experience that I would recommend to anyone visiting the city!
Learning about the "dish" effect of Lisbon was important. Margarita's English was excellent and we appreciated her tips on restaurants and gelato spots.
