What to Expect
See the landmark sights of Lisbon as you learn its fascinating history on a half-day or full-day walking tour. A local guide will take you to the most important monuments of Downtown Lisbon (morning tour) or Belem (afternoon tour) in a group of between 8 and 12 people.
Discover how Lisbon became the center of the Portuguese Empire, and learn about some of the people that have made their mark throughout history, including Phoenicians, Romans and Moors. On the Downtown Lisbon route you will pass many of the city’s most ornate squares to see the typical Portuguese tiles, as well as the spectacular façade of Lisbon Cathedral.
To learn more about the Age of Discoveries, take the afternoon tour to Belem, heart of the city and its global adventures in the 15th and 16th centuries. Some of the most significant sites in the region include Belém Tower and the nearby Jerónimos Monastery, a superb example of Portugal’s Late Gothic Manueline architecture.
To explore both areas of the city, the 7-hour tour combines the 2 historic areas to provide a comprehensive overview of Lisbon, all with a local touch.
