  • Discover what makes Lisbon one of the most enjoyable travel destinations in Europe
  • Enjoy the tour at your own pace
A half day tour through the city of Lisbon combining the ancient and historic quarters with the most modern parts of the Town. Discover what makes Lisbon one of the most enjoyable travel destinations in Europe.
What to Expect
The tour begins at 8:30 or 13:30, depending on your choice, with a pick-up from your hotel, apartment, or ship. This ensures enough time to enjoy the program with no rush.

This private tour focuses on the national monuments in Lisbon, and the program allows some time to visit the inside of some of the monuments. Nevertheless as it is never enough to visit all of the attractions, it can be altered and other routes can be arranged in order to best reflect your interests as the experience is there for the sole purpose of your enjoyment.

The first stop will be at the Baixa (Downtown) area, Restauradores, and Rossio Squares and proceed to the Cathedral of Lisbon where a small stop for photos and, time permitting, a visit inside the church.

Next, visit the Castle, the inside of the Alfama Quarter and the bellevues of Portas do Sol and N. Sª do Monte, which offer some of the most beautiful views of the city. Go down to the Moorish quarter and proceed to the most important avenue of the city with it's Eduardo VII park at the top.

The 18th century Aqueduct is the next stop, before proceeding to the Chiado area where you can enjoy the opposite view of the castle before heading to the Belém area where the monuments of the discoveries are located.

Jerónimos Monastery, the Tower of Belém, and the Discoveries Monument are the most emblematic monuments of the Portuguese discovery era. You'll have some free time to visit one or more of these monuments.

After Belém, return along the river to the Terreiro do Paço square, the central square of Lisbon. Proceed to the eastern part of the city, the Casa dos Bicos, Fado Museum, the Train Station of Santa Apolónia and the national Pantheon, before heading back to the hotel.

Return to the hotel by 13:00 or 18:00, according to your choice of departure.
