What People Are Saying About Lisbon

Beautiful, romantic cruise on the Tagas!

We had a wonderful time on the cruise, sitting on the bow of a small sailing yacht while cruising along the Tagus in front of historic Lisbon. A bottle of wine and blankets against the evening wind made for a wonderful time watching the sunset over the Atlantic.

a wonderful, informative, enjoyable morning

This is not my first Get Your Guide activity, and so far they have never let me down. We were met by Margarita our guide for the morning promptly and once we had all assembled and briefly introduced ourselves, which broke the ice we got started. She looked after us with a real warmth, answered questions and talked and walked us through Rossio, Chiado and Alfama. We were not rushed at all - it was like taking a friendly ramble through a beautiful city. I would not hesitate to recommend our activity and Get Your Guide

I highly recommend Sailing with Nigel and his crew! You have to do it!

I never give online reviews these days, but this was so amazing I felt I had to spread the word! So I traveled to Lisbon from LA with 10 close friends to celebrate a very special day - my brother getting married. I booked Sailing with Nigel not knowing what to expect and it was incredible! Honestly, it made our whole trip to Lisbon and I highly recommend it. Let's face it-- when traveling to far away lands its easy immerse yourself in shopping, tourist traps and buying endless amounts of trinkets. But in the end, the best souvenirs are the memories that you spend with loved ones and friends. And Nigels 2-Hour Sailing Tour will be a special memory that I hold close to my heart for the rest of my life. I feel like we kind of found the Jewl of Lisbon with Nigel! Thanks so much, you really put a smile on all our faces and gave us the coolest memory possible. Lot's of love from Los Angeles. XOXOXO

You have to try it! It's an amazing adventure!

We left Lisboa to Sesimbra with a minivan, arrived in that small city, strolled a little in the city and then left from the beach with the kayaks on the ocean. We were 11 and we had 2 guides with us, both called Andre. Very nice people! It is not so hard, we paddled in our own pace, always having one Andre in front of the group and the other at the back. We had little breaks in order to regroup and to admire the clifs and the clear blue sea (where you can sea the fish). We stopped on a beach, took a swim, had a picnic and the two guides offered us a dessert and a glass of wine. Then we left we the kayaks further, entered a small cave, paddled a little more and than slowly paddled back to the bech from Sesimbra, where we left. Afterthat we went by car to the Sesimbra castle, where we vistited the castle and then back to Lisbon. The trip was fantasti and I would do it again!

A must-do for families with kids in Lisbon

Since we are not the type of look into a guidebook, we booked this tour. We were picked up by Mariana at the agreed location. Even though our kids weren't speaking English, Mariana gave us all the time we needed for translating the given information into German. The tour itself was very interesting and we learned a lot about the history of Lisbon and why the Lisbon of today looks like this. The tour was mixed with information and challenges for the whole family. The information given were very lively presented including printed pictures or illustrations which supported the story. We recommend this tour for all families visiting Lisbon.
