What to Expect
Start out your full-day excursion from Lisbon with a drive along the scenic countryside roads of Alentejo on the way to Évora. This tour is designed and priced for a group of up to 4 persons.
You’ll have time to walk through the town’s historical center and visit its famous Roman Temple and 12th-century cathedral. See the interior of Évora’s university that was founded in the 16th century.
In addition to admiring its architectural aspects, you’ll have the opportunity to experience the ambience of a southern Portuguese university town.
After lunch in Évora, you’ll continue on to Monsaraz, an extremely well preserved medieval walled town overlooking the Alqueva, the largest artificial dam in Europe. The views are breathtaking. On the way you’ll see Sao Pedro do Corval, home to the traditional and colourful Alentejo pottery.
Stop to tour a local winery, taste Alentejo wines, and take in the magnificent views.
