What People Are Saying About Lion's Head
Very bad pickup guide given wrong info about hotel. Do phone immediately if they don't come within five minuets of allotted time. Our hotel concierge kept saying it wasn't necessary they are usually late. After 40 mins a feeder taxi arrived to catch up with the main taxi Guide Excellant and looked after us as aged 80 and 77 very knowledgable
Would definitely recommend this company. Seal Island was cool as was boulders beach to see the penguins. Chapmans drive awesome too. Cape of Good Hope national park beautiful. Wonderful lookout from lighthouse. Botanical Garden was beautiful & interactive
First, you should call the company (African Eagle) the day before to make sure the booking made through Getyourguide is ok. Second, the tour itself is great, we saw the coastline of Capetown, some seals and pingouins, Cape point, Cape of Good Hope and the Botanical gardens as mentionned. Third, the negative points of the tour itself: - the pingouins are extra costs and you have barely the time to see them more than 15min which is a bit sad, because of the schedule. - the cable car from Cape point is not necessary, it takes 15min to walk up and you even get to the top before the people using the cable car because of the queues. - only 20min for lunch, we had to rush to find food in the farm-market. It was a good place but still... - BUS-wifi not working Fourth and last but not the least!!!!! The guide, Grant, was at first very kind and joyful but ended being frustrating, stubborn, and getting us irritated by his comments, he could have kept for him. Ask to have someone else
Our guide, Otay (not sure if that's how you spell it), was amazing. He had fun facts, highlights, history and kept everyone on track. It was a FULL DAY, so be prepared for that, but the group was small, so it didn't feel like we were lost in a crowd. And, I appreciated having hit all the highlights with someone who knew their way around because it would have taken us all day to find one spot, and we would have missed out on the details Otay knew. Plus none of them would have been worth a full day investment on their own. So, great tour and we recommend it.
I really liked the tour. I took it on my own and the driver did a great job in introducing us passengers to each other. This way he quickly broke the ice. The scenery and locations are just stunning. I totally recommend to take the Seal boat in Hout's bay (which needs to be paid on top) as well as the penguin's colony. Great organisation!
