What to Expect
Lima is the perfect place to hop onto a bike and explore its amazing sights and sounds. On this tour, you will cover two very important areas of Lima, the neighborhoods of Miraflores & Barranco. Along the ride, see amazing sights around the bay, including great views of the San Lorenzo Islands, the Morro Solar hill and the impressive coastal cliffs of Lima while riding on the famous and not to be missed Malecon de Miraflores.
Once in the bohemian neighborhood of Barranco, continue cycling around its mansions, churches, bars and parks, trying to make a great combination between art, history, architecture and a nice vibe. You will ride among beautiful houses that once were occupied by renowned writers, painters and musicians. Pass by cultural centers, parks, shops, art galleries, workshops, cozy local cafes and classic bars. Pay special attention to street art work, graffiti, street food, and to the cultural manifestations of two of the most important areas of Lima where locals usually express themselves and have fun more frequently. Your guide will also share anecdotes, love stories and classic urban legends of the local folklore.
Biking is a nice combination of exercise and enjoyment, and today you can go at your pace to make sure you enjoy and have time to learn about this great city. The tour includes a snack in a traditional old bar or cafe of the area. You will pass many old houses and colonial mansions of great architecture, as well as some of the best restaurants of the culinary capital of Latin America.
