What People Are Saying About Les Invalides
I would recommend doing this at nighttime when everything is lit up, the view is second to none and will always remember this cruise. Definitely a must do
Beautiful seeing Paris by night from the river! And being able to see under the bridges we'd crossed was really cool too.
It was a complete charm. Skipped the ticket queue and went directly for the boat queue. The boat departed at the sunset and arrived back on the dock at night. I totally recommend the trip since it shows the most iconic monuments of the city from a whole new perspective. At night the city is even more beautiful with all the lights that fill the margins and the monuments. Modern boat, with a nice english audio guide. The only negative point is that the rooftop of the boat got a little too crowded and people trying to take photos while standing, sometimes bothered us, but it was not a major problem as it didn't obstruct the view to the monuments.
Staff were fantastic, helped us very quickly when we had an emergency with the kids.
After a long day of walking around climbing stairs and catching the metro in 30 degree blazing heat with no shade anywhere the river cruise was the perfect way to end the day.I was travelling with my 16yr old son and we were lucky in that it was still warm when we joined the queue just after 9pm. We were on the boat by 9.20pm and found a seat on a bench upstairs, there is the option to sit inside the boat and there are headphones which give a commentary in most languages explaining the sights which would have been useful but you would not get the same atmosphere we had sitting on top.Having done a guided tour of the Eiffel Tower (also through GetYourGuide) earlier we already had an idea of the landmarks and it was fun trying to figure out which was which from a different angle!I would definitely recommend going later in the evening and making it the last activity of the day as Paris is even more beautiful at night and it's a fun way to spend an hour that doesn't kill your feet!
