Enjoy a private 2-hour tour of Leipzig customized to your wishes and interests, and discover city highlights far removed from the beaten tourist path. You can decide whether you want to explore the architecture, art and culture, or a part of nature.
What to Expect
Experience Leipzig from a new perspective as you discover there's more to the city than the typical guidebook descriptions make out. Take a look behind the facade to find out what really makes this city thrive. Explore the famous sights as well as lesser-known areas of the city that have their very own charm.
The tour takes you from Leipzig Central Station – the largest terminus station in Europe measured by floor area – to the zoo and further on through the north of the city. You will discover sports facilities in Leipzig and immerse yourself in the creative mile along Karl-Heine-Straße in the west. Be inspired by waterways, impressive industrial architecture, and locations of the new creative culture. Cross over the natural floodplain forest, which stretches from north to south like a green belt around the city.
Visit the lively “Karli” street in the south with bars, trendy shops, and “Media City” (known as Sachsenklinik from the television series “In aller Freundschaft”). Discover what can be made out of an old gasometer building at the Leipzig Panometer. Then continue on to the Monument to the Battle of the Nations and the site of the Old Fair in the southeast. The German National Library is a true “treasure chest” with more than 26 million items. The route then heads over the Leipzig Bayerischer Bahnhof towards the city center, where the tour will end.
