Las Terrenas: Private Coffee Trail ATV Tour in Samana

Las Terrenas: Private Coffee Trail ATV Tour in Samana

The tour will take you through country roads boarded by cacao and coffee fields, spectacular views over the Samana bay, and local farms. We’ll stop at a classic mountain farm, sharing some time with a family of farmers. You’ll be able to see some of the products they produce and visit their farm, learning about organic farming and plants. You’ll witness the difference between Las Terrenas, a busy beach destination, and the countryside, with its clean air and slow-paced way of life. If you want, the farmers will show you how coffee or cacao is made, from the tree to your table. You can then sip on a cup of coffee or hot cocoa. Don’t worry, if you don’t speak Spanish, our local tour guide will translate everything for you. Next stop is the nicest beach on the Samana Bay where mangrove mix with the beach creating a natural swimming pool perfect to cool off. On the way, we’ll pass through many fields, farms, and viewpoints. Most of the trip is on dirt roads, it’s a lot of fun driving the ATV there, up and down, through bumps and holes. If you are not 100% comfortable driving an ATV or if speed is not your thing, don’t worry, you can either drive slow (more time to enjoy the view!) or you can ride with someone, most ATV can sit two people. Driving an ATV is pretty straightforward and even if it’s your first time you should get the hang of it pretty quickly.

You can get under the waterfall to enjoy a strong massage or get a bit further under it to see the hidden caves. The water is just the perfect temperature to relax after the walk, with the pool shaded by the trees. Very nice, beautiful tour! We were only 4 people which made the tour so much more personal. We had a very sympathetic guide who took us to the local coffee farm where we could taste everything extensively. Great experience and very tasty! Further on our route we stopped at a local supermarket where our guide bought drinks for our group and 5 minutes later we could enjoy it on a beautiful beach. He gave us as much time as we wanted on the beach and on the farm and after the tour gave us nice tips for good restaurants and the like. In short, highly recommended!

Great outing with Vincent, our guide! A getaway that will take you to the heights of the island and will make you discover magnificent landscapes as well as Elena's farm where you can taste her coffee and cocoa production! The walk will end with the discovery of a magnificent beach in Las Terrenas! My wife and I were delighted with this outing. Excursion accessible to beginners. We recommend!

An activity to do absolutely! We discover the hidden part of Las Terrenas, with its small villages and fruit trees (among others). And of course the coffee, cocoa and honey produced locally. Doing it on a quad (in pairs) gives even more freedom. A great experience with a great guide Vincent, very nice and who answers each of our questions. You can trust him and book this activity!

was great, it had rained heavily the day before and during the night, which made the journey a little more difficult, but the waterfall could be seen in full power. great guide

Vincent was an excellent guide. He spoke English which was a plus. He went above and beyond for us. A must when you are here in Las Terrenas!
