Las Cañitas

We begin our journey from Bayahíbe or Bávaro, passing through charming villages until we reach La Cañita, where we’ll board a boat to the Samaná Peninsula. Upon arrival, a safari truck will take us to the mountain, where we’ll ride horses down to the stunning El Limón Waterfall, one of the tallest in the Caribbean. Enjoy a refreshing swim, take photos, or simply relax amidst nature. Afterward, we’ll recharge with a delicious traditional Dominican lunch, followed by a catamaran ride to the paradise of Cayo Levantado (Bacardí Island). Relax on its white-sand beaches and crystal-clear waters for 1 hour and 30 minutes. We’ll end our adventure by returning to La Cañita, where transportation will be waiting to take you back to your hotel. A day you’ll never forget!

Meet your tour guide at your hotel in the Bavaro Punta Cana area for morning pick-up and drive to Las Cañitas village, passing through the countryside and along the coast. Upon arrival at your destination, board a catamaran to enjoy a ride to Samana. During the crossing, toilets, refreshments and two drinks are available. When you arrive in Samana, you will board a safari truck and head to the top of the 640-meter (2100 feet) mountain, followed by a horseback ride through coffee and cocoa plantations to the El Limon Waterfall. Have lunch at the base of the falls and enjoy the view. Next, you will descend to Samana and head to Cayo Levantado (also known as Bacardi Island), where you can swim and relax. Once at the Ranch, we ride a horse for about 40 minutes one way to visit La Cascada Limón. This waterfall is one of the most important falls in the Antilles and the Caribbean, both for the amount of water it has, as well as for its abrupt drop of 67 meters high. After about 40 minutes at the Cascada, we return to the Ranch and go to the Restaurant for the Typical Dominican Lunch. Finished at lunch, We go to Cayo Levantado or Isla Bacardí, to enjoy its white sands and crystal clear waters or simply sunbathe under its coconut trees. There you can also take a souvenir of the typical crafts of the area. After 1 hour and 30 minutes, we headed to Las Cañitas.

Departing from Your hotels towards the town of Las Cañitas, where we board the boat that will take us to the Humpback Whales Sanctuary, on a journey through the sea for about two and a half hours, and where we will be allowed to see them swim , play and sometimes even jump and see their young calves After the sighting, we will go to the Samaná pier, to take the transport and to Playa Rincón, which is considered the best beach in Samaná, located in the Rincón Bay, and surrounded by mountains and coconut trees. With time to enjoy its beach, there we will have the Restaurant to enjoy a delicious Typical Lunch with a spectacular beach front view. After lunch we will go back to the pier, where we’ll take the boat and go to Cayo Levantado, also known as Bacardi Island, to enjoy its white sands and crystalline waters or simply sunbathe under its coconut trees. There you can also take a souvenir of the typical crafts of the area. After enjoying the Island, we take the boat back to the Las Cañitas pier, where the bus to take you to your respective hotels await.
