What People Are Saying About Lao Cai Province
We had a fantastic tour with our English speaking guide, Lena, with indochina travel in Hanoi, as we trekked through the villages of the hill tribes in northern Vietnam. She was very engaged and informative and also had a fantastic rapport with the ethnic groups. We loved the hospitality of the home stay family, Mrs and Mr Long, and the stunning natural beauty of the villages and surrounds. although it was heavy going the first day (approx 20km) the reward was great when we could swim in the waterfall directly at the base of the home stay to cool off! Of our two weeks in Vietnam this was a definite highlight- I cant recommend it enough! Thanks Lena!
Traveled to Sapa and trekked into the mountains with an excellent guide from the Black Hmong Village who spoke fluent English also. Views and continuous information was nothing short of brilliant. The village guides wore thongs but recommend runners and travel with light backpack for overnight. Home stay overnight near the Village was well catered for (beer and other bevs also available) as the guide also prepared all meals for the next day. Could have stayed 2 weeks here. Very peaceful, incredible part of the world. (Must see) Complete North to south Vietnam tour was extremely well organised and credit must go to Peter and David at Laughing Thomas, Tuan and all the support staff along the way from start to finish.Very highly recommended
