Full description
Enjoy a fantastic day out on this tour of Lanzarote. See the picturesque village of Yaiza on the edge of the volcano, where you’ll have the opportunity to admire the volcanic crater of the Timanfaya mountains or simply enjoy a cup of cafe con leche (coffee with milk). You then head west towards the impressive rocky coast of Los Hervideros, with unique structures formed by volcanic eruptions. See Lago Verde, a green lake in the middle of the black sand beach of El Golfo. Admire the bay made from tuff and lava, with unusual colors and bizarre shapes. You’ll than travel by bus towards Timanfaya National Park. Here you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy a short ride on a dromedary and to experience the world on top of these fascinating animals. Marvel at the Montañas del Fuego (Fire Mountains), try out amazing experiments with the geothermal energy, and enjoy the breathtaking tour through the national park. Learn about the history of this natural wonder's development. The authentic records by a priest from Yaiza, who documented the volcanic eruptions in the 18th Century, provide a deeper understanding of how people’s lives were determined by this force of nature. During a break in Mancha Blanca, take the opportunity to visit the famous church of Nuestra Senora de los Dolores. Admire the beautiful Canary architecture and see the statue of Madonna which, according to legend, halted the flow of lava from a volcanic eruption. Visit the picturesque wine-growing region of La Geria and learn more about the painstaking work associated with the local methods of wine growing. You can also taste the delicious local wines in a local Bodega (cellar). Passing by the Monumento al Campensino, the tour heads to the green northern side of the island with the Valley of 1000 Palms. Experience the wonderful landscape that is completely different from what you have seen so far on the island. Enjoy the enchanting atmosphere along the way to one of the highest viewpoints of the island. Here you can admire the fantastic view of the Valley of 1000 Palms, Monte Corona, and the northeastern coastline with its picturesque villages. Visit Jameos del Agua, one of the most beautiful places in Lanzarote. The architect Cesar Manrique artistically designed this section of the tunnel. Here you can find a cafeteria decorated with beautiful hanging baskets, a concert hall, a pool, and a small lake which connects to the sea. You can also admire the small white crabs that are usually only found in the deep sea.

A great, eventful excursion. Radmilla was a very competent companion, who explained stories and details very vividly. A few minutes longer would be desirable for some highlights. Unfortunately, the pick-up time with the bus is given differently: on email 8:45 - 9:15, on ticket and app 9:30. The bus didn't come until about 9:45.

Overall it was a very nice, interesting and long day. The usual morning pick ups was a little bit too long but at least we were able to see different villages, landscape. You spend a lot of time on the bus but the guide in our case Ramila ( excellent guide) talks to you about everything you see, history, intesting facts about Lanzarote. Optional camel ride €6 pp was a good fun actually! O would recommend it to anyone who wants to explore the island!

The lady who did host us, and has almost 20 years of experience, was great. She did speak clearly in English and information provided were very interesting. Also driver did ride very safely on thin roads across the national park and all over the island. The optional lunch cost 10 euro and it was in form of buffet, so you can take as much as you want, also the pink wine was for free and was very good. I was glad I could attend and see most of interesting sites of Lanzarote in one sunny day. I recommend this tour.
