Explore the area around Uyuni on a 3-day tour. See handicrafts made of salt, stop at the Flags of the World, and visit the Chiguana Desert. Day 1 Meet your guide in Uyuni and begin your 3-day adventure. Head to the Train Graveyard, a cemetery full of abandoned trains. Stop at the small settlement of Colchani, which housed salt miners, and shop for handicrafts made of salt and textile art made of llama and alpaca fiber. Next, visit a hotel and museum made entirely out of salt. Bring your country's flag and place it at the Flags of the World, and stop at the Monument to Dakar racing. For an added fee, visit Incahuasi Island, a former island in the middle of the salt flats. Then, pose for some fun perspective- and proportion-distorted photos taken against the backdrop of the striking white surface of the salt flats. Finally, head to a spacious area for the unique experience of seeing a beautiful sunset over the salt flats, spreading its dazzling colors all over the Uyuni Salt Flats, and enjoying it with a glass of wine. First Night: Agencha Hostel – 2-beds, 3-beds, 4-beds room + Private toilets. Day 2 Begin with an early breakfast before heading to Chiguana Desert. Stand surrounded by volcanoes and marvel at the still-active Ollagüe Volcano. Then, continue along the rocky road El Pasito Tuntun to reach the beautiful lagoons of Cañapa, Hedionda, and Chiarcota. Keep an eye out for the brilliantly colored flamingoes standing in the lagoons. Stop to enjoy lunch before heading to Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve (entry not included). Visit Siloli Desert and see the Rock Tree lava rock formation. Continue to Huayllajara, stopping at the Red Lagoon overlook point to see flamingos relaxing in the intense red colors of the lake. Second Night: Huayllajara Hostel shared 6-beds rooms + shared toilets. Day 3 Get off to an early start around 5:00 a.m. to visit the Sol de Mañana Geyser (5,000m) and walk next to fumaroles and steaming craters filled with boiling pots of mud at 150-200 Cº. then, have the opportunity to take a bath in an open air Hot Springs at a 35 Cº water. The next places to appreciate are the Dali Desert Marvel at the vivid colors of the Green and White Lagoons, created from the toxic copper water at the foot of the Licancabur Volcano. Then, head back to San Pedro de Atacama in Chile. Cross the Bolivian border with the help of your tour guide and finish your adventure at San Pedro de Atacama’s main square.

Later, the immense Uyuni Salt Flats at an altitude of 3,663 m.o.s.l. which extends over an area of 12,000 km². Along the trip, visit: Salt eyes, Salt Hotel-Museum (Built entirely of salt blocks), Dakar Monument, Flags of the world, and finally, arrive at Incahuasi Island to appreciate the beautiful view and the giant cactus. At the end of the day, take your time in the sunset with a glass of wine, and get to the hostel for dinner time. Day 2 Visit: Chiguana + Ollague lookout point + Andean lagoons with flamingoes + Red lagoon After breakfast, go to visit the famous lagoons: Cañapa, Hedionda, Chiarcota, with a lot of flamingoes. Later, an exquisite lunch, Siloli desert, Stone Tree. At the final of the day, arrive at Red Lagoon which is inhabited by numerous flamingos, within these species there are 3 varieties: Chilean, James, and Andean. Finally, head to the hotel in the community of “Huayllajara” to have dinner, and rest Day 3 Visit: Geysers Sol de Mañana + Hot Springs Pool + Lookout point Green lagoon - White lagoon - Lincancabur Volcano + Uyuni Very early in the morning, after breakfast, go to "Sol de Mañana" geysers and enjoy a fantastic view along the way; this place has volcanic activity such as fumaroles and geysers (holes of bubbling mud, smoking, and a smell of sulfur). Also, visit the hot springs of Polques to take a bath and relax enjoying the most beautiful landscape. Then, the Salvador Dali Desert which offers spectacular views and multicolored rock formations of the volcanoes. Later, go up to the viewpoint of the Green Lagoon, White Lagoon, and Lincancabur Volcano. (Don't be surprised if we go to the Chilean border, sometimes we have customers that they need to stop over there). Finally, return to Uyuni, and on the way, after lunch, appreciate bofedales and more rocky formations. Arrival time at the office in Uyuni City: 06:30 p.m. IMPORTANT INFORMATION *During the rainy season (from January to April), it is not possible to access Incahuasi Island. Day 1 We will pick you up at your accommodation and leave in a minibus from San Pedro de Atacama to go to the border between Chile and Bolivia. After passing through the offices and completing the corresponding formalities, we will change to a 4x4 vehicle for 6 people. On this first day we will visit places of the Bolivian altiplano, such as Laguna Blanca and Laguna Verde, located at the foot of the Licancabur volcano. We will continue visiting the Salvador Dali desert and the Polques hot springs, where we will have some time for a swim. Also, we will visit the Sol de Mañana geysers, intermittent water springs that gush at 90 °C. Finally, we will visit the Colorada Lagoon, nesting center of more than 30,000 flamingos. Tonight you will stay in a hostel in Villamar. Day 2 We visit Valle de Rocas, the World Cup, Italia Perdida; place where the volcanic rock took the shape of what seems to be an abandoned city, then we will visit the Camel, Sora where you can see animals of the area. Mysterious Lagoon or Catal where you can walk and see the typical flora and fauna of the Bolivian Altiplano, Laguna Vinto, Mirador; Cañon de la Anaconda, at the end of the day we will transfer to the Salt Hotel in Colcha K, where we will spend the second night. Day 3 Early in the morning, we will take our vehicle and transfer to the salt flat. We will see the sunrise over the white mantle formed by the accumulation of salt, and then move to Incahuasi Island. Here, we can take a short walk through this limestone rock formation, which contains giant cactus and from where we have a great perspective of the salt flat. Afterwards, we will visit the Salt Museum and leave the salt flat through the town of Colchani, where we will make a stop to buy handicrafts. Then, we will pass by the train cemetery to take some pictures, before arriving in Uyuni, where we will finish our tour.

Afterwards we will visit the Anaconda Canyon and the Sora Canyon, finishing the excursion we will go to our hotel in Colcha K to rest. Day 3: This day we will wake up very early and start our tour with the visit of the sunrise in the Salar de Uyuni. Then we will go to the Incahuasi Island, this is a limestone rock formation located in the center of the salt flat, from where we will have a perspective of the salt flat. Then we will visit the Salt Museum and leave through the town of Colchani. From this place we will move to Uyuni, passing by the train cemetery, where we will make a stop to take some pictures. In Uyuni we will say goodbye to our guide, who accompanied us during these three days, then we will have some free time for lunch and get to know the city. Then we will stop in Villamar for dinner and rest. Day 4: This day we will wake up very early to continue our journey and reach the border of Chile and Bolivia. We will change vehicles to return to San Pedro de Atacama.

Start: This tour will start at 7:00 am at your hotel in San Pedro de Atacama. End: Day 4 at 1:00 pm in the center or bus terminal of San Pedro de Atacama (this end time could be modified due to weather conditions or force majeure, so we recommend that you leave your departure from San Pedro de Atacama for the day after the end date of the tour). Day 1: This day will start with the pick up from your hotel and we will depart by minibus from San Pedro de Atacama to the border with Bolivia, passing through the border offices of Chile and Bolivia. Once at the border, we will change to a 4x4 vehicle for 6 people. On this first day we will visit places of the Bolivian altiplano, such as Laguna Blanca and Laguna Verde, located at the foot of the Licancabur volcano. Then we will visit the Salvador Dali desert, the Polques hot springs, with time to bathe and the geysers of Sol de Mañana, intermittent springs of temperate water. We will finish this day at Laguna Colorada, which is a nesting center for many flamingos. Tonight we will stay at the Villamar lodge. Day 2: After breakfast, we will take the road to Tomas Lakha, where you can see pre-Inca cave paintings. Then we will go to visit Italia Perdida, a place where the volcanic rock took the shape of what seems to be an abandoned city. Then we will go to the Vinto Lagoon and the Catal Lagoon, where you can walk and see the typical fauna of the Bolivian Altiplano. We will then visit the Anaconda Canyon and also the Sora Canyon, before continuing on to the Chiguana Salt Flat and arriving at Colcha K, where we will spend the second night. Day 3: This will be our last day and we will start very early to visit the Salar de Uyuni at sunrise. After this experience we will move to Incahuasi Island, which is a limestone rock formation located in the center of the salt flat that we can walk around and get another perspective of the salt flat. We will continue to the Salt Museum and the town of Colchani, already outside the salt flat. From here we will transfer to Uyuni, passing by the train cemetery, where we will make a brief stop to take pictures. In Uyuni we will say goodbye to our driver-guide, who accompanied us during the previous three days and then we will have free time to have lunch and walk around the city. Afterwards, we will meet our driver who will take us back, stopping in Villamar for dinner and rest. Day 4: This day we will wake up very early to continue our trip back to the border of Chile and Bolivia. Once there, we will change our vehicle to a minibus to be able to return to San Pedro de Atacama.

Day 1: First we start with the pick up from the hotel in Uyuni, then we will go to the train cemetery to see the old locomotives. Then we go to the community of Colchani (the gateway to the Salar) where we will find rustic craft workshops and the rustic table salt micro-processor. Continuing with the expedition to the majestic Salar de Uyuni we will make stops to see salt extractions, the eyes of the salt flat and the Playa Blanca Salt Hotel that currently only works as a museum. Later we will visit the most popular island of the Salar located in the middle of the Salar, the Incahuasi Island where we will hike and appreciate large expanses of cacti, sea rock fossils and spectacular 360° views from the viewpoint. At the end of our tour, we headed to our salt lodging to rest. Day 2: The day begins with breakfast at the lodging of salt. We set out to the viewpoint of the Ollague volcano, to be able to appreciate a volcanic desert landscape and the sparse high-Andean vegetation. Then you visit Chiarkota Lagoon, Hedionda Lagoon (named due to the smell of sulfur), Onda Lagoon, Ramaditas Lagoon, these lagoons are surrounded by flamingos which use them as feeding and resting points during their migratory movements and for noon they taste lunch en route. We continue our journey to the Siloli desert where the stone tree (strange rocky shape) is located. We continue our way to Laguna Colorada, which is very striking due to its reddish color. Continuing, we arrive at the town of Huayllajara where we will taste a dinner, and spend the night in a community family lodging (Basic Lodging). Day 3: The day begins very early in the morning with breakfast and departure towards the fumaroles and cracks in the earth through which volcanic lava and sulfurous gases come out. Continuing the tour we will arrive at the hot springs (waters that are beneficial for healing arthritis) where you can take a bath and rest, the water has a temperature of 25 to 32 °C. We continue the journey through the second desert on our Salvador Dalí tour which has an excellent panoramic view and resembles this desert landscape. Afterwards, we arrive at the green lagoon (high mineral content gives it its characteristic color), located at the foot of the Licancabur volcano (5,916 masl). Then we went to the town of Uyuni making stops to visit Villa Mar, Valle de las Rocas, the town of San Cristóbal, its Stone Church and finally we continued to end our tour in the town of Uyuni. Optional Transfer to San Pedro de Atacama: After visiting Laguna Verde, you can make the transfer to Hito Cajones on the border between Chile and Bolivia for later transfer to San Pedro by shared transport (Consult the extra price for the transfer).

Here we can walk along a path, see the giant cacti and have a privileged view of the salt flat from the top of the hill. We will end the day watching the sunset inside the salt flat, and then head to the accommodation. Day 2: During the morning the pick-up is made in the direction of the road that crosses the Salar de Chiguana. We will visit the Cañapa, Hedionda, Honda and Chiarkota lagoons, before entering the Siloli Desert. We will end the day at Laguna Colorada, a nesting center for more than 30,000 flamingos. We will spend the night at the Huayllajara Refuge. Day 3: We will leave early in the morning to see the sunrise at the Sol de Mañana Geysers, intermittent water sources that rise to a temperature of 90°C, and where we will have the opportunity to take photographs taking advantage of the contrasts of the first lights. and steam.
