Overall good trip but it exceeded the time stated which made it a bit stressful getting back to our ship on time. Our 7.5hr tour went for 9.5hrs. The main issue was the "low" number of people in our group of 23 so we were joined up with another group who left Pisa later than we were supposed to. We had to share a double decker bus with the group we were joined with. We made sure we sat at seats that didn't have others belongings on them. I got confronted by a person who claimed that my daughter and we were sitting in her seat (which was behind my husband and son), we then had to go upstairs where people were trying to save spare seats next to them. Lucca was nice and the guide walked us around and then gave us free time. The ticket to climb Pisa tower also included access to the cathedral and 2 other monuments.

Pickup in LaSpezia was pretty confusing with so many tours originating there. Be patient. Once on bus it was great and so was our guide. They offer just a tour to Pisa alone, wish you offered just a tour to Lucca. Lucca is such a jewel wish we had more time there. Definitely take the short orientation walk then spend time on your own. Such a lovely town compared to the stress of visiting Pisa.

What an amazing guide Mattia was he went above and beyond to make our day so memorable. He walked us to the destination and informed us in great detail before leaving the bus about everything we needed to know and gave us so many hints and tips. We were very lucky to have someone like him to guide us on our trip.
