This excursion will offer you a half day of adventure and learning about our beautiful Costa Rica. We will start the day enjoying a delicious buffet breakfast and then we will take a coffee tour through an authentic plantation with coffee and chocolate tasting. Then we will visit the Poás Volcano where you can take a short walk to the crater to see its beautiful lagoon, of course taking into account that your sighting depends on the natural weather conditions of the area. Along the way our guide will give you important information about the forest and the Volcano. And to make this excursion more complete, you will then visit the La Paz Waterfall, a beautiful 37-meter-high waterfall where you will have incredible photos.

Doka Estate Costa Rica coffee Tour & plantation: A day full of coffee aroma will be our reward when visiting the largest coffee plantation in Costa Rica, known as Hacienda Doka estate, located on the slopes of the Poas Volcano. Poas Volcano National Park: We will head towards the beautiful POAS VOLCANO, whose main attraction is that it can be accessed to the edge of it. On the way to the Volcano you will be able to notice its different microclimates and the great diversity of agriculture, we will be able to observe a great variety of plantations and livestock farms at the same time that we will have a spectacular view of the Central Valley. The complete stay in the Poas Volcano National Park will be approximately 50 minutes, which are distributed in: 10 minutes in the initial talk and information, 10 minutes walk to the viewpoint of the Volcano crater, 20 minutes of fixed stay at the viewpoint and another 10 minutes on the way back to the transport parking lot. We begin our trip by 6:30am, we pick you up in San Jose downtown. We continue the road to the beautiful area of Poas and Vara Blanca, Alajuela with stunning views we pass near the Poas Volcano. We make the first stop by 8am to visit the amazing La Paz Waterfall on very nice spot to take pictures, you can even stand almost inside of the waterfall. After this visit we make our second stop to take a delicious typical breakfast and coffee from the area with an amazing view of the Cinchona Waterfall. Our next stop will be at La Paz Waterfall Gardens to take a nice walk visiting all the animals of this natural ecosystem, we give you free time for one hour and thirty minutes to explore around. We leave La Paz by 11:30am to make our last stop at the very unique Starbucks Alsacia Coffee Farm. By 12pm we start our way back to San Jose downtown.

After being greeted by your professional biologist guide in our private 4x4 transportation, we'll embark on a scenic 2-hour drive to the National Park. Upon arrival, the temperature drops, the sun illuminates, and the scent of sulfur warmly welcomes us to one of the world's largest and most active volcanoes in Costa Rica We'll revel in the breathtaking view once the volcano emerges, and explore the diminutive vegetation that leads to the extinct crater, now teeming with life. We'll marvel at this unique forest and the lush, verdant surroundings through the eyes of a biologist. Later, we'll navigate around La Paz Waterfall, taking in the stunning landscapes. We'll conclude the day with a delectable Costa Rican lunch, serenaded by the vibrant presence of hummingbirds and various other bird species.
