It was a unique and amazing experience! The whale sharks were beautiful and our guides Aaron and Razz were AWESOME!!! They made us feel very safe and well prepared. Aaron was an amazing guide in the water- extremely helpful and took great pictures! Two problems- the first was when our trip got cancelled the first day. We waited from 7:00 am for 30 minutes and then had the concierge call. It had been cancelled and we were never notified!!!! We were rebooked at that time two days later. Secondly, the tour said that it was going to stop at Hotel California for a drink. Well, as soon as we got on the bus, we were informed that we would not be going there because it would be too busy. So part of our itinerary that we were very excited about was not included. This is an expensive tour, and we should have been told ahead of time about this change. The whale shark part was awesome though and a once in a lifetime experience!
The staff was all very nice and respectful. They communicate well to you in both English and Spanish. The drive is 2.5 hours to the boat and the boat ride is 1.5 hours to the sea lions. It ends up being 8am-8pm but totally worth it. The food was great and unique to diet restrictions. They provided wet suits for cold water. The photographer took great pictures and sold all for $60. They gave blankets when you were cold and served you at your seat. Nice and clean boat.
This was amazing! Our guide was Alexander with Sun Rider Tours and he was super knowledgeable about the sharks and extremely helpful and able to manage all the different experience and swimming ability levels. This is a must do and this is a great tour group to go with!
This was an awesome experience! Holy cow the whale sharks are SO giant, and it was so cool to swim right alongside them. The guide and boat captain were informative and accommodating. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone!
Website says meeting point is between Burger King and a hotel which would be in the middle of a street. Better description of actual meeting point and nearby parking would be great.
