Kids & family surf course at Fuerteventura's endless beaches

7. Kids & family surf course at Fuerteventura's endless beaches

Sandy beaches and gentle waves are a great playground for children and for adults. Our surf instructors are always amazed at how quickly and naturally children learn to surf. Experiencing the children's enthusiasm for surfing is almost as exciting for us adults as surfing ourselves. Therefore, we offer surf lessons especially for children and families. We have a team of German-, English-, French- and Spanish-speaking surf coaches, who are aware of the special needs and desires of children under the age of 12. In small groups of maximum 4 children per instructor, our instructors will help to carry surfboards, choose waves, gentle push the surfboard into the wave and give individual support and feedback. According to the needs of children, we only teach at beach with soft sandy ground, less current and gentle waves. Once at the beach, our surf instructors explain the surf equipment, waves, currents and important safety rules. After a short theoretical instruction, practical exercises on land follow. In simple steps, our instructor will show the position on the surfboard and the movement how to stand up - we call this the "Take Off". Now everybody is off to the water. The course takes place only in shallow water. The surf instructor will be in the water with the children and help choose waves, give the surfboard a little push into the waves and provide tips on how to improve the surfing technique. For a small extra charge of 8€ we will pick up from your accommodation in: Morro Jable, Jandia, Esquinzo, Butihondo, Costa Calma, La Pared or La Lajita.

This tour was more than special for me. Lots of extraordinarily beautiful views in one evening, which you cannot reach or are difficult to reach on foot, with a bus or rental car (and probably also to cross pure sandy deserts without practice). Into the sunset - adds something extra to the experience. Small group - an off-road vehicle - simply perfect and hardly any dust in sight while driving. I would also like to mention Gino - our guide - who surprised us with his openness and humanity, took care of everyone, was very attentive and helpful. I would repeat this tour immediately, even though I rarely go to the same place twice. You have to be prepared, as this is not a developed road and especially along the west coast - that you can feel jumps and shakes in the car, for me that was an additional fun factor, which the nature of this experience automatically entails. It's advisable to take something with you against the wind, but we were lucky. Excellent!

Mario, our guide, was great. He was super friendly, showed us great, idyllic places on the tour and got the timing perfect for the sunset. He didn't leave us any unanswered questions outside of the tour and we had a really great afternoon. Once again, a big THANK YOU to Mario.😊 We can fully recommend the tour.😉

Brilliant! Brilliant! Brilliant! The guide was fantastic. He brought us to all the best photo opportunities…had great local knowledge and was thoughtful about the amount of free time we got in each venue. If you want to see one of the most scenic/picturesque beaches ever…take this trip!

With Carolina, our guide, we drove quickly and safely through the desert, it was a great experience, at the end we experienced a beautiful sunset with a glass of champagne. Carolina drove us to a lonely beach, just great.

It was amazing experience :) You must remember to take something to cover your face, otherwise you will get a facial peeling for free :)
