What People Are Saying About La Boqueria

Insightful and fun experience, tailord to your needs

I had a great time with Alicia and she was adapting the tour to my needs and interests. I learned a lot about image composition and about the city. I recommend this tour to people who have some idea about photography and are looking for inspiration as I did.

Wonderful way to experience the city, very good guides, beautiful!

The guides really made this day trip. Walking tour of the old town first, my mum had a really bad knee, our 1st guide told us not to worry as we will go at a good pace for everyone. The next guide for the boat and helicopter ride was brilliant in keeping the helicopter ride a secret from my mum as it was a surprise, everyone else joined in too to keep it quiet. Everything was perfect and I was able to give my mum a great experience. Thank you.

Chief was fantastic, gave us great guidance.

I couldn't have picked a better course to take. We had great fun chief who showed us correct methods & guidance. We cooked paella, Spanish omelet, pumpkin veg soup, tomato bread & crema Catalan.

If you love to cook, everyone at this experience had a wonderful time!

We were a little disappointed to learn that we booked on a Sunday, a day the market was closed. But, instead of the market tour, which we had already done on our own, we did a walk thru the neighborhood, stopping at shops and stores to look at the wares and learn a little history of the neighborhood. For us, this was completely satisfactory. Then, we arrived at the kitchen/dining. The venue is wonderful - lots of room, big cooking space and plenty of opportunity to meet and make new friends, which we did. Immediately, some of us were chosen to make tapas, while others chatted and drank sangrias. After the tapas, we began the paella cooking, learning the history of the dish and the best practices for making it. Everyone got a job to do,there was lots of talking and laughing and picture taking, and then we got to eat. Marvelous! Our chef, Alex, talked with us about the traditions of eating with family and having paella, as well as some background on the experience itself.

Juan was amazing - one of our most memorable experiences in Barcelona!

... and that is saying a lot. We cannot say enough about Juan and we were fortunate to have a great group too. The market tour was terrific and we learned a bunch of chef tricks during the cooking class and the meal turned out delicious!
