The booking process was easy and efficient. I wish there was a way to communicate with the guide to prepare the itinerary of our private tour. At pick up location, our guide, Hiro-san, was surprised that we are 3 people (but which we have paid for 3 persons in the booking). He is an elderly gentleman and he knows a lot about the Nijo Castle and Golden Pavillion. However, he is 72 years old so his voice is slightly weak (my parents are also in their 70's) and we cannot hear him too well. He also needs to improve on photo taking skills. Otherwise, we are satisfied with the experience and Hiro-san is very knowledgeable and kind.

Flexible guide

The guide thought we had had his photo; so he was waiting for us in the hotel lobby while we were next to him waiting for him. Awesome 1/2 day tour with a

Our tour guide (Hiro?) was very knowledgeable. I loved his orange tipped pointer to explain what we would be seeing and the routes through the castle. He reminded me of my scientist Father. We started out at the Nijyo Castle, Kinkakuji Temple and ended at the Golden Pavilion. We were going to say good bye when he wanted to make sure we made it back towards our Hotel. I expressed interest in a Sushi restaurant in Pontocho. We found it with his help. I invited him to lunch with us because it seemed difficult to order. He ordered for the three of us and we enjoyed one of our best meals.
