Visit Nijo Castle, the Kyoto residence of the Tokugawa-era shoguns, and the Golden Pavilion, a structure covered in gold leaf that houses sacred relics of Buddha. Take an exclusive stroll through Kyoto Imperial Palace. Afterwards, enjoy a Western-style buffet lunch and move on to Nara.
Nara was the first permanent capital of Japan, and remains full of historic treasures today. While here, enjoy a visit to Todaiji Temple, the world's largest wooden structure and home of the Great Buddha. Mingle with the deer at Nara Park, and marvel at the lanterns at Kasuga Taisha Shrine.
