What to Expect
Guests are personally collected from their hotel or cruise ship in Kusadasi for this 8-hour guided tour though the historic city of Ephesus. Once the cultural center of the world, a tour to Ephesus is not to be missed.

At the start of your tour, your guide will educate you on the historical background before heading out to see the sites for yourself. One of the most important monuments in Ephesus is the Temple of Artemis, one of the 7 Wonders of the Ancient World. Before it was ruined, the temple was almost 4 times the size as the Parthenon in Athens. Dignitaries from the ancient world came to this place to worship. Ephesus was considered to be one of the richest cities of its time. Cleopatra, Alexander the Great, Nero, St John, and Mother Mary have all been in Ephesus, which emphasizes the importance that the Temple of Artemis once held.

Guests will head to Hali Village for an "organically grown traditional Turkish lunch. After eating and resting you will be shown the ways of traditional Turkish carpet weaving. Watch a step-by-step demonstration of how craftsmen make these exquisite Turkish carpets.

From here you will be taken on a hilltop drive to the House of Mother Mary. This is the very place where Mother Mary lived out her final days after being brought to Ephesus by St. John. Guests will have time to roam this ancient sanctuary and enjoy the serene setting before being driven back to your hotel or cruise ship.
