Visit the charming countryside village of Sirince in the heart of Turkey's Izmir province on this 4-hour tour from Kusadasi. Take in the beautiful scenery of peach trees and vineyards, and walk along cobbled streets past local artisans and quaint homes.
What to Expect
Discover the picturesque hillside village of Sirince on this half-day tour from Kusadasi. This beautiful old Greek Orthodox village, located just 7.5 miles (12 km) away from Ephesus, was once given the name Cirkince, meaning "ugly", by the locals. Don't worry, the name was ironic! The locals just did not want to share the beauty of their village or be bothered by outsiders.
Meet your guide in your hotel reception area and depart on the short drive inland to Sirince. As the village is located on the top of a mountain, you'll enjoy impressive views over vineyards and peach trees en route.
Once in Sirince, take a tour of the village to get to know its narrow cobbled streets that are filled with local vendors selling delicious local food and olive oil.
Then discover another of Sirince's major attractions; its wine. Try the local tipple in one of the village's small local cafés or restaurants. After enjoying some time to walk the village's charming streets and take in Sirince's peaceful atmosphere, you will be transferred back to your pick-up point in Kusadasi.
