Discover the beauty of the rainforest on this day trip from Port Douglas. Ride on the Captain Cook Highway aboard an airconditioned bus, see the canopy from above on the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway with 2 stops to enjoy and visit Kuranda Village. Return aboard the Kuranda Scenic Train. Be picked up from your hotel in the late morning and board an air conditioned comfortable bus. Head down the Captain Cook Highway to the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway. Journey over the World Heritage Rainforest and stop for pictures at 2 stations along the way. Arrive in Kuranda and meet your guide who will show you the Kuranda Village. Visit the vibrant markets, see the best places to eat, and visit some small animal parks. Board the Kuranda Scenic Train and head down the mountain. Pass through tunnels and by stunning waterfalls along the way. On arrival at Freshwater Station, head to Palm Cove, a beautiful beach side village where you can stop for a cocktail (at own expense) or take a walk on the beach.  Head back to Port Douglas and arrive at your accommodation in time for supper.

Glide over the world's oldest rainforest on the magnificent Skyrail Rainforest Cableway. Take a rainforest boardwalk with views of the spectacular Barron Gorge and Falls. Relax with pickup in a small bus by your guide, who will deliver you to Kuranda. Once there, choose from a vast array of activities including local markets, arts and crafts, enjoy an encounter with animals or butterflies. Enjoy a relaxing lunch before joining the historic Kuranda Scenic Railway on a spectacular journey through 15 tunnels and over 37 bridges. Learn about Kurada’s history as you pass through the flora. Then, enjoy magnificent views as you make your way to Freshwater Station to be met and transferred to your hotel, arriving about 4 pm. Alternatively, you can opt to continue to Carins Station, and walk to your accommodation.

Conclude your adventure with ease as you are met at Freshwater Station and transferred to your hotel, arriving at around 4 PM, having experienced a full day of natural wonders and cultural delights.

This small-group tour includes a short transfer from your hotel to Cairns Railway Station where you will board the historic Kuranda Scenic Railway for an amazing journey over 37 bridges & through 15 tunnels passing through the rainforest to the charming village of Kuranda. It’s a short walk to the village where you will have about 2.5 hours to dine, explore, shop or perhaps an exciting encounter with wildlife at one of the zoos (fees apply) Later, make your way to Skyrail Rainforest Cableway where you will glide over the rainforest canopy as you make your way to the Barron Falls. View the magnificent Barron Gorge, the falls & visit the Rainforest Interpretive Centre before re-boarding the cableway and making your way to Red Peak Station. From there explore the World Heritage listed rainforest before re-boarding and completing your journey at Smithfield where you will be met and transferred to your accomodation.

Immerse yourself in the sights, sounds, smells and tranquility of one of the world’s most botanically fascinating areas that has remained relatively unchanged for 130 million years with Skyrail. Then step up the adventure with KUR-Cow on their special 45min guided quad bike ride through rolling green paddocks and lush rainforest. If you are lucky, you might even meet one of the friendly resident bulls! Enjoy a truly unique perspective of this ancient landscape with unsurpassed panoramic views of Barron Gorge and Australia’s Wet Tropics World Heritage Area. 8.30am - Cairns city hotel pick up 9.00am - Arrive at Skyrail cable Smithfield terminal. Proceed to check in counter inside the building Explore the world's oldest rainforest from above stopping at Red Peaks and Barron Falls through to Kuranda station estimate journey time 1 and 1/2 hour. 10.50am - Coach departs Skyrail Kuranda station to Kur-Cow farm 11.00am - 45 minutes guided quad bike tour with plenty of time remaining to feed the mini animals at petting zoo. A fun activity for the whole family the youngest member can be 6 years of age to ride by themselves. Children under 6 years old can travel with parent on our side by side buggy. 12.20pm - Depart KUR-Cow to Kuranda village for lunch and shopping at own cost. Kuranda Village has an array of shops and food outlets. They even have a mini golf course hidden in the heart of the village. Just ask a friendly local! 15.15pm - Depart Kuranda village at back to city hotel 16.30pm - Arrive at hotel to conclude your adventure day

8:30am - Cairns Hotel pick up (Please be at pick up point 5min prior) 9:30am - Arrive at KUR-Cow Farm. Time for quick break and fill out indemnity forms. 10:00am - Safety briefing to commence and instructions from staff. Please listen carefully and abide by our staff's instructions. Your safety is our priority. You'll meet your equine friend and be guided through our paddocks and rainforest tracks. 12:00pm - Transfer to Kuranda Village for lunch and free time. There are many local cafes and restaurants available for lunch. Afterwards you can visit the Historic Markets and maybe even play a round of mini golf or visit the beautiful Butterfly Sanctuary. (Please note these options are at your own expense) 2:30pm - Depart Kuranda Village back to hotel.

Step back in history, visiting the the Australian Armour and Artillery Museum, the Southern Hemispheres largest museum dedicated to armoured vehicles and artillery pieces. Wander through this world class exhibit before making your way to the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway. Enjoy stunning views gliding over and through World Heritage Rainforest, including two stops en route. Limited time to explore the charm of Kuranda - 'The Village in The Rainforest' with plenty of cafes to purchase lunch or explore the Heritage Markets (Wed-Sun), before boarding the Kuranda Scenic Railway. Fantastic views through the Barron Gorge and out to the Coral Sea await as you snake your way home. A coach transfer back to your accommodation concludes your day.
