What People Are Saying About Krakow
Our driver Jakob was of the highest quality. Picked us up at the right time, and was so friendly and accommodating the entire day. He was full of local knowledge about places to eat and ways of life as well as a whistle stop history of Krakow as we drove. The camp itself was beyond words but the tour was presented by a professor with a profound, insightful, and complex view of the experience of those who suffered. Would recommend heartliy.
Very well run - our guide was very knowledgeable and conducted the tour very professionally. A must do tour for everyone to see and understand what happened at Auschwitz during Nazi occupation.
I was picked up at time, and driven back to the hotel when the tour was over. Like many others are saying, I agree that it felt a bit rushed at times. The guide said that 1 million people visit every year. That is approximately 3000 people every day. So it is understandable that each group can´t spend unlimited time at every stop, because then you´d be standing in line all day. Although it felt a bit rushed at times, I would still recommend this trip. With a guide you get a lot of information and stories that you otherwise would not get if you visit without a guide. You will see the most important places in Auschwitz and Birkenau, and you'll get the story of what happened at each of the places you stop. The guide was great, showed respect and had good knowledge. She answered questions if we had any. Overall this was a great tour that I would certainly recommend.
A sad tour but a must for everyone to do at least once in their lifetime. Out tour leaders name was Ziggy and every single thing was explained in great detail. Was a great tour and will probably do it again.
A good preparation in the bus, pleasant bus guide, very passionate tour guide who had some real feelings and knowledge on the history of the museum. Lastly a very understanding and kind driver who did not hesitate to drop all of us at the places where we wanted. One improvement point - at-least one long snack break for a bout 20 mnts in between two locations would benefit the tourists to rest a bit. Overall, a successful trip. Thanks.
