    Discover one of the most important industrial sites of the Middle Ages on a guided tour of the impressive Wieliczka Salt Mine. Benefit from pickup at your hotel in Kraków, and then travel in the comfort of an air-conditioned minivan with an English-speaking driver. Meet an English-speaking guide on arrival, and then descend beneath the ground to discover an extraordinary underground art museum. Walk down 800 steps to reach a depth of 135 meters, and experience the cooler temperature as you follow a route of around 2 kilometers through the different chambers. Currently one of Poland's official national Historic Monuments – and a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site – the salt mines feature dozens of statues and four chapels the miners carved out of the rock salt, along with extra carvings made by contemporary artists.

    Impressive large high spaces. It is almost too passable and too beautifully made for tourists. Transport by van was comfortable and punctual. Skip the line wasn't arranged, but not a big deal at the time as it wasn't busy. For an even better experience you should choose the smaller group option, this was fine but went very smoothly.

    The guide was great and everything was superbly organized and on time. We walked in the Mine for 2.5 hours. It was like being in The Lord of the Rings :) We had a few breaks (including to go to the bathroom). You can take pictures and even buy some souvenirs inside the Mine. It's definitely worth to do it !

    Punctual transfer with driver who spoke English, very nice and helpful. He picked us up from the hotel and accompanied us to the entrance of the mine where we were taken over by a guide who illustrated the wonders of the mine in perfect Italian. At the end of the visit the driver picked us up at the point we had agreed upon and took us back to the hotel, chatting amiably. Super recommended.
