Take a trip underground and back in time as you visit the Bochnia Salt Mine, one of the oldest mines in the world and the oldest in Poland, established between the 12th and 13th centuries. After meeting your guide, set off on a journey of discovery as you explore the mine's unique underground interactive exhibition. Experience the history of this extraordinary place in a very special way.
On the tour, you will be transported back in time to the kingdom of Bolesław V The Chaste and Princess Kinga, the time when the mine was founded. Feel the ghosts of Polish kings, miners and the legendary Cistercian Order which began creation of the mine as you listen to your professional guide. Over 3 hours, descend into underground caverns where the temperature is constantly a chilly 15ºC. Marvel at fantastic formations of salt rock and don't forget to bring your camera to snap the stunning beauty of the mine.

Know before you go
- During your stay underground, you will be accompanied by a professional guide
- The temperature in the mine is between 15 and 16°C, with a relative humidity of 70%
- Along the tourist route, you will have to go up or down about 700 stairs
- To go down the slide, you must be wearing long trousers and regular shoes (e.g. no high heels)
- Persons whose condition indicates consumption of alcohol or other similar substances are forbidden to go down into the mine
- Only adults can enter the mine unaccompanied. Children and those under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult
- In the mine, it is prohibited to carry or smoke tobacco or to carry lighting material
- Luggage storage is not available at the mine
