Full description
Travel to Auschwitz-Birkenau on a 7-hour trip from Krakow. Visit the largest death camp in human history, and an infamous site of genocide during WWII. Auschwitz-Birkenau is synonymous with the worst atrocities ever committed. The camp was built by the Nazis in 1940 in the suburbs of Oswiecim. The total number of deaths is estimated at over 1.5 million people, representing 28 nationalities. Nearly 90 per cent of those killed were Jews. A visit to the former concentration camp is certain to be memorable because it makes it possible to imagine the scale of the Holocaust. Since 1979 the site has been listed by UNESCO on its Cultural and Natural World Heritage list.

Excellent from start to finish. Well organised trip with emails about times etc before the day. We were met by the driver right on time outside our accommodation. The journey was quick to the first location. Our guide was really knowledgeable about the area and spoke through everything. We then went to the second camp and again had the same guide to walk us through. It was a really informative day and interesting to learn about the history. Would highly recommend.

Very professional driver, at the time of the appointment but did not speak French ... adorable guide, patient, clear and precise. We were able to visit the 2 camps with a break between for a small snack. The little extra: the cut ticket goes! We went VIP ... Visit not to be missed!

Very well organized excursion through Legendary Krakow (via GYG). We were picked up on time at our hotel by driver Milo, super friendly and drove neatly. He took us to Auschwitz and put us in touch with our fantastic guide who spoke great English. Tour was comprehensive and information. We were also lucky that it wasn't crowded, so we didn't feel rushed and we weren't trapped with other groups. Then we were driven to the immense Birkenau and we were fairly alone with our guide. Very impressive experience.
