What People Are Saying About Krakow
From start to finish our guide Chris kept us engaged and the two hour tour was done before you knew it but left you still thirsty for more. Chris was very passionate and full of information which was great. The exhibition it self was fascinating and even after our tour guide was done I would have liked to go back over it again. It is a bit of a maze so the tour guide is in my opinion essential and don't go thinking it will all be a bout Schindler. I had read some reviews before hand so I knew what to expect but was still impressed by the whole experience. Amazing and a must see. I would recommend you by your ticket before and as this saved so much time as it was extremely busy even for February when u would expect it to be quite.
We booked a tour guide , which highlights all the important points which I would of missed walking on my own. The guide did speak fast but you only had to ask him to speak a bit slower, and he answered any questions too.
The guide was knowledgeable and managed to place the Wawel castle in a historical perspective. Highly appreciated.
Great (english speaking) guide with a lot of knowledge about Auschwitz/Birkenau. She explained in detail the circumstances of the people who lived at Auschwitz and Birkenau, which was easy to feel the sadness, grief and anger among them. Had the experience to see the camps which was very impressive
Castle tour takes in the state rooms and there is no information at all in the rooms themselves so you have no idea what you are looking at otherwise. Tapestries were incredible. Very different sort of castle. You can do the chapel for free afterwards. However, I paid extra for the boat trip which was terrible. There wasn't even a clear sign as to which boat we were to go on and only for a helpful lady selling boat tickets for another company we would not have found it. Plus nothing to see of any interest on the river and the audio guide is rubbish. Save your time and money!
