This full-day tour takes you to eastern Serbia and includes the most interesting historical attractions of this region. Your historic adventure begins with a visit to the Golubac Fortress located at the entrance to the Iron Gate, the longest gorge in Europe. Explore the visitor center, walk along the Danube river, and enjoy beautiful views. Stop next at Lepenski Vir, the oldest urban settlement of humans in Europe which dates back to 9500 BC. The site consists of a large settlement and around ten satellite villages. Numerous sculptures and peculiar styles of architecture have been found at the site and most of them are exhibited. The last stop of the day is Viminacium archaeological site with fascinating Roman remains. Explore the remains of its mausoleum, amphitheater, and baths.
