I recently embarked on an unforgettable road trip from Prague to the enchanting Koněprusy Caves, the majestic Karlštejn Castle, and the stunning Big America Quarry. This adventure was a perfect blend of history, nature, and fun! For a more detailed account of this exciting adventure, check out my video review on my GoPro YouTube channel ProSpeleo https://youtube.com/@ProSpeleo Watch here: https://youtu.be/oX4WihDtOds So our journey began at the picturesque lookout of Big America Quarry, a former limestone quarry that dates back to the 19th century. The sheer scale and beauty of the quarry left us in awe, as we learned about its historical significance in providing materials for local construction. Next, we ventured to the beautiful Karlštejn Castle, a true gem of Czech history. Our knowledgeable guide Josef shared fascinating stories about its construction and its role in safeguarding royal treasures. After exploring the castle, we enjoyed a delicious dinner at a nearby restaurant

Joseph was a fantastic guide, he was enthusiastic and worked hard all day to ensure that everybody was engaged and comfortable over the course of the trip. we felt like we had plenty of time at each place, and in amongst the interesting facts about Czech history and culture, he made sure to keep conversation going by discussing other topics too. The locations were amazing, and the food was fantastic with pleasant service in an intimate setting.

Excellent excursion, the guide was very knowledgeable and engaging, especially the visit to the caves was worth it, where the guide proved to be a plus, especially for the explanation from a geological point of view of the rock formations and the legends of the cave.

Castle was lovely. Caves were interesting. The canyon felt a bit like filler. Our guide, Adam, was very educated, well spoken and enjoyable to be around.

The organization of the trip was great, the food was delicious and our guide was amazing!
