See the marvelous waterfalls at Athirapally as you visit Vazhachal Falls, Charpa Falls, and the Thumpurmuzhi Gardens on this 2-day trip from Cochin. Stay overnight in a hotel in Athirpally and opt for waterfall trekking if you're feeling brave!
What to Expect
Travel from Cochin to see the magnificent 80 feet (25 meters) Athirapally waterfalls, which join the Chalakkudy River just 3 miles (5 km) from Valparai Hill Station. Home to an excellent tea estate, Valparai is one of India's highest-density elephant habitats.
On this 2-day trip visit Vazhachal Waterfalls, popular for flora and herbal forest plantations. Admire the lesser-known Charpa Falls, situated to the east of Athirapally. The water plunges down to cover the road in the monsoon season, so be prepared to get wet if you are visiting it in the rainy months!
Optional waterfall trekking is available. On this overnight trip from Cochin you'll also get to see the beautiful scenery of the Thumpurmuzhi Gardens, located between the Dream World and Silver Storm Theme Parks.
