What to Expect
Take a trip to discover the amazing natural beauty and scenery of Munnar, a picturesque town in India's Kerala state. The name Munnar is believed to mean "three rivers," referring to the town's strategic location at the confluence of the Madhurapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundaly rivers.

Munnar is a magnificent hill station in the Western Ghats at about 5000 feet (1,525 metres) above sea level. This is one of the best hill stations in Kerala and is the major centre of Kerala's tea industry.

This guided tour will let you watch the various steps of tea production in the tea factories right from plucking the leaves to sorting, drying and grinding of leaves. You can also buy freshly packed tea leaves as mementos of your trip to Munnar.

Then, we'll head to the Rajamalai Wildlife Sanctuary, 17 km from Munnar, and home to many large wild animals like deer, bison and elephants. Trekking is another must do activity in this sanctuary. No trip to Munnar would be complete without a trip to Eravikulam National Park, which is the home of the highly endangered Nilgiri tahrs, which are seen only in Munnar and in some isolated pockets along the Nilgiri biosphere.

From there, Mattupeety Lake, a man-made lake formed by a small hydro electricity dam, is another popular tourist spot in Munnar. Set amidst steep hills and thick woods, it offers ample phot opportunities and great views. The nearby Indo-Swiss cattle-breeding centre-cum-dairy project could make another interesting stopover.

During the Mattipeetly drive do not miss the Top Station, a popular tourist spot that offer the panoramic views of the valley. In the evening we will arrive back at hotel and retire for the night.
