What to Expect

A combination of different activities - cultural tour, visit of museum and heritage sites, trekking on the world famous and popular trek routes of Ghorepani, Punhill , relaxing in a lake side, the list goes on further in this package trip. You have ample opportunity to experience all of the followings; nature, culture and pleasure in this single package trip.

At the start of the trip; visit Pashupatinath, the temple of Lord Shiva with its two-tiered golden roof and silver doors is considered one of the holiest Hindu shrines, then Boudhanath, the ancient colossal Buddhist stupa is one of the biggest in the world. Further proceed to Swayambhunath, about 2000 years old, one of the world's most glorious Buddhist chaityas painted with the all-seeing eyes of Lord Buddha. Next is Kathmandu Durbar Square and temples like; Taleju, Kal Bhairav, the God of destruction; Nautale Durbar; Nasal Chowk; Gaddi Baithak; Kumari temple etc.

Another ancient town is Bhaktapur Durbar Square, comprising of Palace of 55 windows, the stone temple of Batsala Devi full of carvings, innumerable temples and architectural showpieces like the Lion Gate, the statue of king Bhupatindra Malla, the picture gallery and the Batsala temple. Patan Durbar Square is again another master piece of art and architecture. Patan is the city of hundreds of Buddhist Stupas and Bahals dating back to over 2000 years old. Krishna Mandir a 16th century temple dedicated to the Hindu God Lord Krishna, built entirely of stone. This 21-spired temple holds a commanding position in the palace complex of Patan and is supposed to be the first specimen of Shikara style architecture in Nepal. All these stupas and temples are listed as a UNESCO Heritage Monuments.

Ghorepani trek offers magnificent Himalayan views of Nilgiri, Glacier Dome, Gangapurna, Machhapuchhare, Annapurna range and Dhaulagiri range. The big charming villages the trek route passes through are Ulleri, Ghandrung and Landrung amidst the spectacular mountain scenery inhabited by the legendary brave Gurkhas – mostly Gurungs and Magars. This trek is popular for enjoying the stunning scenery all along the way and specially from Poon Hill, from where we have a spectacular mountain panoramic view of the majestic Himalayas and the rising sun at the back drop. A long relaxing bath at natural hot spring at Tatopani is another highlight of the trek.

Pokhara is the second most popular destination for Nepal visitors, known for its exquisite Himalayan vistas and relaxing lakeside ambience. Sight-seeing in this beautiful lake town includes; Peace Stupa, Guptesor and Bindyabasini temples, Caves and Davis Fall. International Mountain museum is another big attraction for those who are interested to the mountains and mountaineering. Boating around Fewa lake is refreshingly charming.

Day 01 Arrival: receive at the airport and transfer to a hotel in Kathmandu. Briefing about the trip and dinner amidst traditional cultural program.

Day 02. Full day cultural sight-seeing: Pashupati, Boudha, Swayambu and Patan.

Day 03. After breakfast drive to Pokhara 200 KM away, a beautiful Himalayan town. Evening stroll along the lake side.

TREKKING; Elevation ~ : lowest - 1065m highest - 3200m

Day 04. – 09. Trekking through Jino, Ghandrung, Ghorepani, the trail goes through villages, hill ridges, rhododendron forests, along the river, farmed hills and with panoramic view of the whole Himalayan range of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri back and forth.

Day 10. Trek and drive back to Pokhara again. Free evening.

Day 11. Sight-seeing: Mahendra cave, Mountain Museum, Davis fall and temples. Leisurely in the afternoon for personal interest activities.

Day 12. Drive or Flight back to Kathmandu, afternoon walking tour of the old town market, visit temple of living Goddess and Hanumandhoka, the old royal palace.

Day 13. Sight-seeing of medieval town, Bhaktapur in the morning and souvenir shopping in the afternoon. Free evening.

Day 14. Departure: transfer to the airport for flight back.
