Full description
Day 1: ARRIVAL
Arrive at the airport and meet your host. Upon checking in at the hotel, head to one of the restaurants to get a taste of traditional cuisine.
Day 2: EXPLORING KATHMANDU
Embark on a sightseeing tour of the fascinating Bouddhanath Stupa, Monkey Temple (Swayambhunath), Kathmandu Durbar Square, and Patan Durbar Square. These sites can be altered according to your preference and time.
Day 3: DRIVE TO MANAKAMANA ( GHAIRUNG)
After breakfast, drive from Kathmandu to Kurintar and take the cable car to Manakamana Temple. Then, cross through the Bakyaswori Mahadev and Siddha Lakhan Thapa. Enjoy amazing views of mountains and discover a Pipalchap village in Ghairung VDC.
Day 4: Trek to Gorkha
Early in the morning, start the trek towards Gorkha, passing through Bungkot, the birthplace of Nepal’s first martyr, Lakhan Thapa. In the village, see the Lakhan Thapa Memorial Park, which is the attraction park of this village. Visit the historical monuments in this village, which are preserved by the local people. From there again, walk to the Gorkha Bazaar, which will take around 2 hours to reach.
Day 5: EXPLORE GORKHA
Explore the Gorkha district for a whole day. First, visit the Gorkha Palace, the place where King Prithivi Narayan Shah started the unification of modern Nepal. From here, view the valley, villages, and panoramic views of the mountains. Continue to Gorakhanath Cave, named after Gorakhanath Baba, just like the Gorkha district is also named after him. Travel to the Gorkha Museum, situated at Gorkha Bazaar, which contains many historical memories.
Day 6: DRIVE TO BHACHHEK (TREK TO SIRANDANDA)
Drive towards the Bhachhek (around 6 to 7 hours). Hike about an hour toward Sirandanda, one of the best places to stay with many attractions, including Nagepokhari, Dudhpokhari, Bhot Dodar, Chima, Dharadi, and a tea garden. Sirandanda village contains a large number of medicinal herbs like Nirmasi, Jedamasi, Jatamasi, Rato Unyu, Yarsaghumba, and Satuwa.
Day 7: TREK TO BARPARK
Discover Barpak Village, also known as the village of the Army. Home to the late Captain Gaje Ghale, Barpak village is the biggest settlement of Gurung people in the Gorkha district. Pass through the Dewalsara, Sum River, Daraudi River, Goje, and Alagang, and reach your destination after a 7-hour trek.
Day 8 TREK TO LARPARK VILLAGE
Move towards another destination, Laprak village. Cross the Basukang (the junction that leads to Rupina La Pass and among Manaslu trekkers) and reach Laprak village after a 6-hour trek from the Barpak. Observe the traditional culture and lifestyle of the Gurung community and spend the night in this beautiful village.
Day 9: TREK TO NAMBAI KHARKA
Head to Nambai Kharka. In this place, you cannot get toilet facilities, and meals will be vegetarian, as it is believed that trekkers will be ill if they take non-vegetarian meals.
Day 10: TREK TO TALLO THOTENEERI
After breakfast, climb up towards the highest point of this trek, Dharche Danda, at an altitude of 3220m. From the hilltop, take in the amazing views of mountains, including Annapurna I, Annapurna II, Bharasikhar, Gangapurna, Machapuchhre, Lamtang, Himal Chuli, Buddha Himal, Sarang Peak, Malkunti Peak, Babu Himal, Sringi Himal, Ganesh 1, Ganesh 11, and Ganesh 111.
Day 11: TREK TO GYAMPESAL
Visit the Sita Cave, located in the middle of the forest, and hear the legend of how the goddess Sita stayed in this cave.
Day 12: DRIVE TO KATHMANDU
After breakfast, return to Kathmandu. It takes around 6 hours to reach Kathmandu from Gyampesal.
Day 13: DEPARTURE
From strangers to lifelong friends, say farewell to your fellow adventurers. Have a friendly lunch or even a cup of coffee—just an excuse to show gratitude. Then, make your way back to the airport with your guide.
