What to Expect
Explore the idyllic terrain of Langtang Valley in this 16-day adventure. Situated north of Kathmandu near the Tibetan border, this is a valley enclosed by snow-capped mountains and rhododendron forests. The deep gorges of Bhote Koshi and Langtang Khola stretch around Ghora Tabela. Red panda inhabits this area. You may also see wild boar, Himalayan black bear, snow leopard, musk deer and monkey. You will wander this beautiful area led by a highly trained and friendly guide in groups of no more than 8 people. This ensures your safety and a unique tour.

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu Airport
Upon arrival you will be met by a tour guide and transported to your hotel by luxury private vehicle. Here you will have time to relax after your flight and prepare for the trip ahead.

Day 2: Drive to Sybru Bensi by bus. 8-hours.
After a rejuvenating nights sleep in your hotel, you will make an 8-hour journey to Syabru Besi. The road from Trishuli to Syrabu Besi is a rough road, offering guests a glimpse into the adventure ahead! Overnight you will stay in a guesthouse.

Day 3: 5-hour Trek to Lama Hotel
This is the first day of trekking. The first part of the trail crosses through Bhote Koshi and follows the Langtang Khola. You will ascend the 2400 meter Rimche, through winding paths of bamboo. Here you can choose to have lunch before continuing on to the idyllic Lama Hotel. If you are lucky you will glimpse red pandas, monkeys and bears. After the trek relax at the hotel and reflect upon the beautiful landscape you have just trekked through.

Day 4: 5-hour Trek to Langtang Village

Today you will enjoy another 5-hour trek ascending above the Langtang Khola. As the trail progressed the path becomes steeper. You can enjoy magnificent views over the exotic Langtang Lirung and the lush meadows of Ghora Tabela. You will pass several wooden lodges. Higher up, the route winds through a wide valley of yak pastures and Tamang Villages. See water wheels in the mills and gain an insight into traditional village life. You will be taught how buckwheat, potatoes, wheat, turnips and barley are cultivated in this remote Tibetan style village. Rest overnight at a comfortable guesthouse.

Day 5: 4-hour Trek to Kyanjin Gompa

Wander through more yak pastures and through the villages of Muna to Singdun. You will cross a wooden cantilever bridge to reach a wide valley of distinct natural beauty. Ascend the mountain passes and enjoy magnificent views until you arrive at Kyanjin Gompa. Here you will find a small monastery and government-operated cheese factory! After seeing these eclectic sights you will be shown to your guesthouse where you will spend the night.

Day 6: Exploration around Kyanjin Gompa
Taking a break from trekking, here you can spend a relaxing day exploring the area of Kyanjin Gompa.

Day 7: 6-hour Trek to Lama Hotel

Enjoy a morning visit around Kyanjin Gompa and in the afternoon return to the Lama Hotel where you will spend the night.

Day 8 5.5-hour Trek to Thulo Sybru

Today you will be led up to Thulo Syabru. En route you can spot monkey, rare birds and red pandas. From the village of Thulo Sybru you can enjoy the splendid nature and views of Ganesh Himal and the surrounding mountains. You will stay overnight at a guesthouse in the village.

Day 9: 5-hourTrek to Singompa

Follow a winding trail from Thulo Syabru to Foprang Danda passing through Dursagang. You will have views of the Langtang Himal, Ganesh Himal and the Tibetan forests. Singgompa provides brilliant views and is abundant in nature. It is also home to a yak cheese factory which produces what is considered to be the best in Nepal. You will spend the night here in a guesthouse.

Day 10: 5-hour Trek to Gosaikunda
Today you will climb to the top of Lauribinayak. The steep rugged ascent will lead you all the way to Gosaikunda where you can see the famous lakes.

Day 11- 6-hour Trek from the Laurebina Yak pass to Ghopte

Your guide will lead you out of Gosaikund and climb the rugged country trails past 4 small lakes to the Laurebina Lake. This is the highest point of this trek. After spending some time here you will descend to Ghopte where your guesthouse awaits.

Day 12: 6-hour Trek to Kutumsang

This is a day of trekking downhill. Continue the route down to Tharepati stopping at Kutumsang. This is an interesting and traditional old Helambu Village where you will spend the night.

Day 13: 5.5-hour Trek to Chisopani

This is a shorter day of trekking. You will complete 2 ascents and descents to Chisopani where the view of the Himalayas is best seen. In the early morning and evening you can see the beautiful landscape reflecting in the water of the lake. Spend the night in this sublime location.

Day 14: 4-hour Trek to Sundarijal and drive to Kathmandu

Wander through oak and rhododendron forests. At a lower altitude you will also see pine trees. After passing through Sundarijal a vehicle will collect you and transport you back to Kathmandu. You will arrive at bout 12:00 and spend the night in a hotel.

Day 15: Rest day and sightseeing around Kathmandu Valley

Day 16: Departure

Your guide will drive you to the airport for your final departure.
