Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu
Arrive at the Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu, where you will be welcomed by a friendly and hospitable tour guide who will take you to your hotel. After arriving at the hotel, and checking in, there will be a meeting with your guide and he will further explain the program to you.
Day 2: Kathmandu – Nagarkot
After having breakfast, you will start your trip to the Kathmandu Valley, which houses various important religious centers. You will visit such interesting places as Pashupatinath, a Hindu Temple, which is close to the banks of the Bagmati River. Near the banks of this same river is an area where you will find one of the largest Stupas in the world, as well as a crematorium. Visit the center which holds the Tibetan school of Buddhism. After exploring all of this, you will be driven to Bhaktapur, the medical city of devotees that is one of the best preserved of all the ancient cities in Kathmandu Valley.
As evening sets, your guide will drive you to Nagarkot. Admire the stunning scenery of the Himalayan sunset as the sun slowly makes its magnificent journey below the horizon. Then you will be able to rest and relax with an overnight stay at a resort.
Day 3: Kathmandu
Wake up early to witness the first rays of the beautiful sunrise as they make their way across the morning sky. This is an experience not to be missed. After taking in the beauty of the morning sunrise you will enjoy breakfast served at the resort. Then, you’re off to Kathmandu for a half day of sight-seeing.
Capture photos of Kathmandu’s Durbar Square, home of the Malla. Then you can see the Shah Kings of Nepal, and visit the Kumari Temple which houses the virgin goddess. Visit Swoyambhunath, a Stupa on the top of a hill, overlooking the picturesque Kathmandu Valley.
Next enjoy the sights and sounds of Patan, a famous city which boasts a wide variety of arts and crafts. The highlight of the trip to Patan is visiting the Shikara (a Krisna Temple,) and Durbar which houses a royal bath. There is also a visit to Hiranya Varna Mahavir, a Buddhist monastery. During the evening unwind and relax on a rickshaw ride. End your day by enjoying a typical Nepalese dinner at a local restaurant called Thamel, before returning to the hotel.
Day 4: Depart Kathmandu
Wake up and experience your last Himalayan sunrise before enjoying breakfast. The rest of the day is for you to relax and decide how to spend your leisure time. You will be informed as to when you will be picked up from the hotel and taken to the airport.
