What to Expect
Discover Bhaktapur, home to the Newar people of Nepal, and Changu Narayan, a temple that dates back to the 4th century. Your journey will begin in Kathmandu.
A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Bhaktapur has the appearance of a medieval city. You will visit beautiful buildings such as the royal palace with its golden door, the five-story high Nyatapola Temple, and a square where you can see pottery being made using traditional methods. Lunch will be provided in Bhaktapur.
You will continue to Changu Narayan. The main attraction in this temple is the Vishnu image with ten heads and arms. It also provides stunning examples of stone, wood and metal crafts. Apart from the religious significance of this site, its location on a hill top offers great views of Bhaktapur, Kathmandu, and on clear days, the Himalayan range.
