Overview
This 12-day tour gives you a taste of Nepal, taking in the wonderful historic and cultural sites of Kathmandu, trekking in the infamous Annapurna region for unparalleled Himalayan views and elephant back safaris in the jungle as well as Rhino spotting
What to Expect
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu.
A Mosaic Adventure representative will meet you at the airport and tansfer you to your hotel in Thamel. It is about a 30 minute drive depending on traffic. You will stay overnight in a 3* hotel. We use the Thamel Eco Resort and Hotel Holy Himalaya.Where you will be staying depends on the availability of the hotel.

Day 2: Kathmandu City Tour.
Our lisenced, professional tour guide will take you to visit some of the delights of Kathmandu. Swayambhunath Stupa (monkey temple) – an ancient stupa known as the eye of Kathmandu, perched on top of a hill looking out over the Kathmandu valley, Boudhanath Stupa –  a UNESCO World Heritage site, a holy place for Buddhists, a huge stupa adorned with the eye of Budha where pilgrims flock to every year and monks pray and chant daily. Patan Durbar  Square – a UNESCO Word Heritage site and the old Royal Palace. Scattered with ancient temples and steeped in culture and history. Pashupatinath Temple surrounds the sacred Bagmati River and is another UNESCO World Heritage site. A holy and sacred place for Hindus. The dead are brought here for cremation and their final rituals to pass into heaven. A humbling place of peace and respect. Overnight in Kathmandu Hotel.

Day 3: Drive to Pokhara.
We take an early morning tourist bus to the beautiful lakeside town of Pokhara in the foothills of the Annapurna region. You will have free time in the afternoon to enjoy the many bars and restaurants scattered along the lakeside, do a spot of shopping or take a boat out onto Fewa Lake. We will stay the night in Hotel Lake Star. (3*)

Day 4: Drive to Nayapul (1010m/1.5 hours) and trek to Tikhedunga. (1570m/3.5hours.)
A private car will take us to the starting point of our trek.We begin our trek following the River Bhurungdi Khola and passing through a thick forest. We pass low land rice fields and sweet smelling orange groves along an easy trail with a gentle incline to our first teahouse for the night.

Day 5: Trek to Ghorepani (2860meters/5 hours.)
Leaving Tikhedunga, we begin our journey with a steep incline to Ulleri, climbing a steep stone staircase consisting of 3300 steps, a challenging feat that rewards us with magnificent views of Machhapuchhre (Fishtail Mountain), Gandharba Chuli and Annapurana II and III. Ghorepani is reached by passing through an immense, thick rhododendron and oak tree forest, home to Longur monkeys and musk deer. Overnight in teahouse.

Day 6: Hike up to Poon Hill (3210m/1.5 hours) and trek to Tadapani. (2660m/4 hours.)
An early morning hike to the top of Poonhill will reward you with spectacular sunrise views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges. Take time here to soak up the tranquil atmosphere and make sure to take plenty of photos for everlasting memories of this idyllic place. After breakfast we descend to Tadapani through pine and rhododendron forests. Overnight in teahouse.

Day 7: Trek to Ghandruk. (1940m/4hours.)
We start the day on flat ground to Baisi Kharka before a steep descent to Ghandruk. Ghandruk offers sensational views of Fishtail Mountain, Annapurna III, Gangapurna, Annapurna South and Himchuli. Even more photo opportunities for you to capture these graceful giants. While you are staying in Ghundruk, a trip to the local monastery and Gurung meseum are well worth a visit.

Day 8: Trek to Nayapul (1010m/4 hours) and drive to Pokhara. (850m/1.5 hours).
A gentle descent back to Nayapul following the Modi River and a short drive toPokhara. Another night in a hotel in this colorful, lakeside town. The afternoon will be yours to relax after your trek and further enjoy Pokhara. Overnight in Hotel Lake Star.

Day 9: Drive to Chitwan.
We will take an early morning “tourist bus” to Chitwan National Park. We will be staying in a 3* star lodge – Jungle Safari Lodge. A member of staff from the lodge will meet us at the bus station and drive us to the lodge by private jeep. All meals are included whilst in Chitwan, lunch will be provided, you will given a talk about the lodge and the upcoming activities and then have an afternoon enjoying some jungle activities. These will include: Elephant safari into the jungle, (to spot wildlife, hopefully you will be lucky enough to spot a one rhinocerous, crocodiles, rare species of birds and if you a really lucky, a Royal Bengal tiger) village tour and cultural dance show, jungle walks, elephant bathing, bird watching, conoe ride on the Rapti River, (to spot crocodiles and many species of birds) and a visit to the elephant breeding centre. Overnight in lodge.

Day 10: Chitwan.
A full day in the lodge doing various jungle activities as stated above. Overnight in lodge.

Day 11: Chitwan to Kathmandu.
A morning of jungle activities before we take a “tourist bus” back to the capital. The evening is yours to relax or explore the colorful shops of Thamel. Overnight in Kathmandu, 3* hotel.

Day 12: Transfer to international airport for your final departure.
A Mosaic Adventure representative will transfer you back to the airport and bid you farewell.
