Escape the hustle and bustle of big city life on this 9-hour bike tour of the gorgeous Cesky Kras countryside on the outskirts of Prague. Then, visit the stunning 14th-century Karlstejn Castle, built for the legendary King of Bohemia, King Charles IV.
Departing from Prague by train, you will make your way to the protected Cesky Kras area to cycle along the bike paths of the Vltava and Berounka Rivers. Pedal for approximately 4.5 hours to the village of Karlštejn.
Then, explore the Gothic monument of Karlstejn Castle, where the holy relics and crown jewels of the King of Bohemia were kept. Built on a promontory on the south side of Kněží Hora Hill, It is one of the Czech Republic’s most visited castles, offering superb views of the surrounding countryside.
Highlights of the well-preserved medieval interior include the Knight’s Hall, Charles IV’s Bedchamber, and the Jewel House. As you explore, you will see treasures from the Chapel of the Holy Cross and a replica of the Crown of St Wenceslas. Return by train to Prague, arriving back in the city center at approximately 18:00, in time for your own evening’s entertainment.

We also stop at amazing Velká Amerika Canyon (Czech Grand Canyon is partially flooded limestone quarry). We will view the quarry from an observation platform.
