I did the pleasure of taking a one-day private sightseeing tour in Kamakura with our guide, Yoshi, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we met, Yoshi's enthusiasm for the area was evident. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the history and culture of Kamakura, which enriched our understanding as we explored. The tour was well-structured, starting with the iconic Great Buddha and moving on to the beautiful Hase-dera Temple. Yoshi made sure to tailor the itinerary to our interests, allowing us to spend more time at the sites we loved. His storytelling brought the historical sites to life, making each location feel special. Yoshi also introduced us to some hidden gems, including a quaint local tea shop where we enjoyed traditional matcha. The pace of the tour was perfect, allowing us to soak in the sights without feeling rushed. Overall, I highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to explore Kamakura. Yurie, our local guide was wonderful and knowledgeable. She shared some history, religion and culture of the different era to help us understand what makes Japan today. We ended the tour at a small lacquer museum which we gained much appreciation for. It was our pleasure. Highly recommend!
